"A nice individual hotel with excellent staff, friendly and informative. Characterful and comfortable room with an excellent shower!! Very conveniently located an easy 30 minute walk into York via the riverbank (past ice-cream boat). 7Kw EV charging at competitive prices and £15 charge for the car park. Nick on reception was very welcoming and the addition of a shared balcony to the room was an added bonus. Definitely a goon choice if you want somewhere with charm and a friendly atmosphere"

"Stayed two nights for a weekend escape to explore York From check in to checkout the staff were all really friendly and helpful The room and bathroom were spotless and bed was super comfy It’s a great location for exploring York on foot Breakfast had a huge selection of hot and cold buffet We also used the fitness room which was small but had everything we needed"

"Everything in hotel was great only issue was WiFi not connecting, which isn't the end of the world but when your trying to sort out places to go and where you need to meet people it does help. Also the car park is a nightmare to park in. But staff amazing and hotel nice and comfortable and an ideal spot."

"Enjoyed our 3 night stay, had a room with a view of the river bridges and minster. 15 minutes tops walk from the station to the hotel, so handy, same to walk to the centre of the city, lots of choices of food and bars in the evening. Breakfast was really enjoyable and the staff were on top of organisation and maintaining the food on offer, we'd happily return, thank you"
