We went for 4 days to take our son back to college. The staff was fantastic. From the valets to the front desk. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. Frank the bartender at the pool was super nice and made our stay very comfortable. I also twisted my ankle at the beach one day while we were there and Manny went out of his way to get me a wheelchair upon my arrival back to the hotel. On our last day there we had a very late flight and Tyler the front desk manager was very accommodating and allowed us a little later check out. He is a great addition to the hotel. Over all the staff was very friendly and as far as I am concerned that is the only hotel that we will be staying at when we visit our son in Tampa. Well done everyone.
There are a lot of hotels in the downtown area but the Embassy Suites are the best! The hotel is close to the University of Tampa (our purpose for coming to town) and the airport. Busch Gardens and The Florida Aquarium are also conveniently close by. There is quite a variety of restaurants within a mile of the hotel. The full breakfast is top notch and the rooms are spacious and quiet. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to requests. The only problem was the chaotic valet situation, with a relatively long wait to get our car. We ended up parking in the garage across the street, which was cheaper and quicker. It is also a little difficult to get to the hotel because of the confusing array of one way streets, but that is not the hotel's fault! Overall, we had a fabulous 3 night stay and will be back again next year!
It was a comfortable room, however, you cannot connect your ps4, or any type of gaming device to their TV's. I wish that would've been noted somewhere in their information because that was going to be a big part of my entertainment since I don't go bar hopping.
I was told some wrong information about the prices of certain things such as the valet parking price. The lady at the front for check-in said the price was higher for the valet, later I found out and went spoke with the manager, which she fixed it.
I had another incident at the bar area in which I was charged the wrong price for some drinks. I found out because later that day I looked in the menu provided in all the rooms and the price was listed right there.
Beautiful hotel, fantastic staff and close to attractions.
Rode the trolley at Witing Station (Franklin Street)
one block from hotel. Went to Amalie Arena and
Ybor City. The food at Tampa Brewing Company
was delicious, large portions. Great central location.
Beautiful hotel with a wonderful view of the Hillsborough River. Rooms are separated strategically to reduce noise from adjacent guest. Entire hotel top to bottom is wonderfully designed with fantastic art work and comfortable common areas for the guests. Great Cantina with hot bar for breakfast.

Friendly personnel. Parking is convenient, on a lot adjacent to the hotel. Not a hotel for children or families, as there is no pool, or other child friendly amenities. Food selection is very limited. Rooms are spacious and clean. A/C is not central.

I had to stay near the Tampa Convention Center for the Florida Bar Exam... the hotel had experience with bar exam takers in the past and did their best to make our stay as smooth as possible... everything was great
Towers and massive tourist draws dominate Tampa’s waterfront. This area includes the convention center, cruise ship terminals, St. Pete Times Forum, The Florida Aquarium, and the Channelside Bay Plaza entertainment district. Across the palm-lined Hillsborough River, University of Tampa’s Moorish architecture sits in contrast of modern downtown. Nearby, historic Ybor City is Tampa’s Latin Quarter.
