If I could rate this hotel higher I would. I was surprised when walked in, everything needed was there, it's exactly as the photos show and more. They think of almost every detail in order to make you feel at home. Everything is near, it's great if you will cook at home. Their breakfast is good, but highly recommend going before 9.15 if you want to eat properly. They have pots and utensil for you to make your meals, but if you would like they also have room service. A tip for everyone, you can purchase items like beers or water from a local bodega (deli) by calling downstairs and asking them to order something for you. They also sell filter water for cooking and drinking, instead of using unfilter tap water and the cost is 60 pesos (less than 2$) which will last you for about 2+ weeks= (Botellón de agua) it's very useful. To wrap things up, this is so far the best hotel my fiancée and I have stayed in my 6 trips to DR in 2015 and not necessarily the most expensive. Oh and I don't recommend a bar downstairs next to the hotel, it's so expensive. If you want to spend your money wisely don't drink there. 2 small beers they charged us 10$ Or 500 pesos and 1 large beer in the bodega is 130 pesos which is under 3$...
limited parking. If you have family or friends you are visiting and you try to have them come up to your room, even during the day they will charge you 35.00$. there is a breakfast plan DO NOT take it. there are lots of place close by and while the staff at breakfast are incredibly good the food is just awful.

I have been staying at this property for the last 8+ years mainly due to its location which suits my needs. It has changed names a few times over the years and has had some updates but there is always one thing or another which fails in its infrastructure. During my last two stays I could not count on getting hot water in my rooms. For this stay I booked three additional rooms / guests at the hotel on this last trip and they also had the same issue as well poor drainage in two of their showers.
These guest claim they will not book this hotel again.
Nonetheless, the staff has always been excellent, breakfast is abundant and varied and as I said; a good and safe location.
The hotel owners (Plaza Naco ) should seriously consider resolving their outdated infrastructure issues once and for all as the their branding (now Radisson, previously Clarion) assures 100% satisfaction which is not been attained with a constant and firm 3.5 rating.
In the past I wrote the hotel about their failures and got apology letters and assurances......cold water again; this time in four rooms.
The Hotel is ubicated close to some of the main streets of Santo Domingo. We have two children, so when we choose a hotel is important for us the accesibility to leisure places (malls, restaurants, etc.).
But we would recomend this Hotel also for business travellers as it has a very good conexion to internet (both wireless and wire) and is very quiet (no noise).
First time staying at this hotel. We usually stay in the Colonial zone but that has become very inconvenient driving around and finding parking.
This was a great location for our short stay of only one night. Our stay in the city is usually short as we can't handle the traffic issues. The location was ideal for me because there is a Mall/ Shopping Center located in the first few floors of this building. This was an added bonus as I did not have to get in my car to go outside the building and our family met us and one of the cafe's located within the shopping complex. These are all high end stores, Oscar de La Renta, Louis Vuitton, you name it. The have valet parking and concierge service.
The service and attention from the staff was superb and I would compare it to service in the Orlando FL, resort area.
The hotel amenities are in excellent condition. The room was spacious and had a great shower. The beds were very comfortable. Our kids even enjoyed the infiniti pool.
We had breakfast at the restaurant and the lady server was amazing. I love service with a smile , this is what Dominican's are known for and we should keep doing. We also had cocktails in the outdoor patio.
We traveled for 20 days in DR and on average stayed for 2-3 days at each place. After our adventure was over my husband and I usually have our own ratings and which place we would visit again. This is now our new spot in Santo Domingo ! Compared to other places the service was excelente !

We liked to be able to walk to stores, restaurants. We liked the staff especially Nelson y Daniel at the reception counter. Also, Stephanie in the restaurant.
Daniel and Nelson should be commended for a job well done. Kudos to both!!!
Staff in the pool area were nice as well.
Hotel has a treasure on the people it has looking after guests!!
Quality of food was not pleasing, neither was the selection.
We had to beg to get enough toiletries in our room.
Carpeted areas were not vacuumed regularly
No tourist information. City tour would be a good addition to guests whom have never been there especially those that you can hope on and off at different sites such as malls, beaches, parks, etc.
