"We enjoyed staying at 5 Shadycombe cottage. Owner sent lots of useful information by email shortly before stay. The cottage was compact, clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were a little compact. The cottage location and proximity to Salcombe allowed us to walk into town. We found fabulous art store, along with a great bakery for breakfast goods and pasties, in addition fudge, chocolate and ice cream stores all very yummy. "This was our base for walking the last leg of the SW Coastal path from Dartmouth to Plymouth. It was perfect. Recommend the Hope and Anchor in Hope cove. Averil was a superb host."

"We had a lovely stay at Rosemary Cottage Annexe, impeccably clean, very picturesque area, didn't need to use the car much which we loved, got lots of steps in! 20 mins walk to nearby cove with lovely beach cafe, and had a fabulous meal in The Thatched Inn 😍"

"Lovely cottage, very comfortable and homely. The road is narrow, quite busy and there are no pavements, so walking along the road can be a bit hazardous. The walk along the edge of the estuary is pretty muddy and requires boots or wellies."

"Getting to Peacehaven was quite an event, the main roads are easy to navigate. The lanes are a different story, narrow with passing places, very constricted by high banks needing a lot of concentration to navigate safely. "Honestly, this was a wonderful hotel all round! I was sent down here for work but decided to bring my mum with me for a cheeky free trip to Torquay and the staff at the hotel couldn’t be any more accommodating than they were! She’s disabled and I had a plethora of requests to help make her stay more comfortable and they came up trumps on every single one of them. The staff were lovely, the room was lovely and spacious, the food was excellent and the service was five stars! We ordered room service and there was a small tray charge for this, but it was worth it for the convenience, quality and level of service. There is a little spa area, emphasis on the word little, but does the trick perfectly. I have some more work coming up down this way so will definitely be rebooking as soon as my dates are confirmed! Just great, if you’re in the area, please go here!"
