"My grandchildren loved the arcade and waterpark. They had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back. Having said that this is the second time we have stayed here and we saw a definite decline in property since our last visit two years ago. The condos are needing maintenance. The smell of marijuana was extensive in hallways, balconies, stairwells and parking garage. That was very disappointing having my small grandchildren with me."

"The staff professionalism and helpfulness were the highlights of this trip. I would like to command the staff member named Bouchra who checked us in. Her customer service was outsdanding. She went out of her way to accommodate us, made us feel like VIP. She made sure she gave us a room on time after we told her we were tired from driving. The rooms were impeccable and the view was fantastic!"

Destiny Palms Hotel Maingate West

"This hotel is a great choice if you’re looking for a decent enough place to stay and mostly sleep at for a trip. It is affordable and you get essentially what you see in photos. I do wish the staff was friendlier and acknowledged you at least enough to greet you when you arrived but it did not really dampen my experience. We did have an issue with our second key card not working for our room and one of the lights in the room began to delay when turning on the light switch and flickering a bit but we did not have time to address these during our stay. There is also a McDonalds in walking distance directly in front of the hotel which was very convenient since there did not seem to be breakfast offered, though the hotel does have a seating area with tables indoors. The location of the hotel was also very convenient to most locations for a vacation stay. Parking was currently under construction during our trip but this did not affect us at all. There is only one elevator that caused a small wait when waiting for someone going the opposite direction of you to get to their floor, but nothing too notable. Overall, a decent stay that did its job. "
