Stayed here for one night in Room 5 (I think)
As I was driving back from a festival in Dorset, I kept in touch with the hotel staff about my arrival and all was fine when I arrived about 7pm. There’s no private parking. Street parking only, but at least it was right in front of the house and free. The owner showed me around the B&B, the bedroom and the separate shared bathroom. The guest house has a cosy homely feel, is clean and comfortable throughout. I had also asked for breakfast, so the...

Great hotel close to the hall if you’re staying for an event. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Nice touch being allowed late check out as no one else was booked in the room that day. Would stay again

Generally a nice place to to stay. The evening meal was excellent, but unfortunately that was not the same for breakfast, most definitely the "worst" full english breakfast i have ever had, dont know how they had the audacity to serve it up!!!
Will not be returning.

It was very fantastic, I have known kevin since i started my shifts in stoke-on-trent. Very Gentlemen and warm as always. the room is very clean and very large as I didn't expect it. (the room I reserved) room was so warm and bed is new, I should say all is new from floor to ceiling. I am definitely giving them 10/10 for my stay. and will be booking for more after my first stay. _-S.Usman

Have stayed here before; it's convenient for a business location. Thought this stay was better than previous occasions, the staff put a lot of effort into service under the COVID restrictions, I felt comfortable and safe. Had evening meal and breakfast, the food was first class.

We only ended up staying for one night of the two we booked. This was due to work commitments not the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty.
Before we left we had a meal in the restaurant. The food was some of the best we’ve had in a while.
We would definitely stay there again.

Had a lovely nights stay - very comfortable bed, lovely size room with everything we could want. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruits and lots of biscuit in the room which was extremely clean.
Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared.
A book regarding the building was also an interesting read.
We had breakfast (optional) which consisted of lots cold options, fresh fruits, juices cereals etc. Then a full range for any...

The best area to stay in Dilhorne is in the village centre, particularly around the high street and the main crossroads.
This area is the heart of Dilhorne, offering a pleasant village setting. You'll find the local pub, The Dilhorne Arms, and the village church, All Saints, nearby. The main street is not bustling but provides easy access to the few local amenities and is a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside.
Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will appreciate the village centre. It offers a quiet escape from city life, with opportunities for gentle walks in the Staffordshire Moorlands directly from your doorstep. The local pub provides a convenient spot for an evening meal without needing to drive.
For those travelling with family, staying slightly outside the immediate village centre, but still within a short drive, offers more options for accommodation with larger grounds or self-catering facilities.
When is the best time to go to Dilhorne?
The best time to go to Dilhorne is during the warmer months, typically from late spring to early autumn, specifically May to September.
During this period, you'll experience milder temperatures and longer daylight hours, which are ideal for exploring the local countryside and attractions. The weather is generally more settled, making it superb for outdoor activities like walking or visiting nearby natural parks.
For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits like hiking or cycling, July and August offer the warmest weather, though they can also be the busiest. You'll find local footpaths and bridleways around Dilhorne are at their most accessible, and the surrounding Staffordshire Moorlands are particularly inviting.
If you prefer a quieter trip with pleasant weather but fewer crowds, late May, June, and September are excellent choices.
