De Vere Wokefield Estate

De Vere Wokefield Estate

10/10 Excellent
"Staff were super friendly. There’s a £30 surcharge for a dog but for that he got a super comfy bed and bowl which made his stay a real treat. Didn’t get a chance to use pool but did walk around the very pleasant grounds. When we arrived we were concerned that with two events going on we might not get much sleep however the soundproofing was excellent, didn’t disturb us at all. Room in the Mansion House was clean and well appointed with a lovely super king bed. Breakfast good and plentiful parking although I’m guessing there may have been issues with width of spaces in the past as we saw many cars straddling two spaces :) Didn’t cause us any issues though. We’d love to head back!"

"There were not enough staff in the Restaurant or the Bar. At Breakfast, tables were not cleared; Food items not replenished etc. Staff were trying hard though it seemed. Only one person at the Bar at one stage who had clearly not been trained sufficiently e.g. she did not know how to open a bottle of wine with a corkscrew and it broke."

Sure Hotel by Best Western Reading

Sure Hotel by Best Western Reading

8/10 Good
"Generally good, the bed was comfortable and the room clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and parking was easy and plentiful. It's a take of two halves though; whilst the hotel was perfectly adequate in terms of cleanliness, staff, location, etc, the room I had was in one of the neighbouring buildings, which wasn't a problem in itself but the grounds looked very neglected, especially the view through my window to the rear (overgrown/unkempt, bags of garden waste that had obviously been there while, etc), and the landscaping in the parking area at the front, which left a poor impression - though the ease of access and parking was a positive. Carpets in the hallway and room were starting to look dated. The room itself was in some ways well appointed with a microwave and fridge (though I only stayed one night so needed neither) but at the same time was very large, with a lot of empty space (just one seat in a double room) and a fixed desk - a couple of more comfortable chairs (and maybe even a small coffee table) would have made it feel less empty. Overall, I'd stay again if I were in the area as the basics were there and the stay was perfectly adequate, and I appreciated the microwave and fridge, but it could really do with someone looking at the details; there's a lot of potential for it to be much better."

Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa

Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa

10/10 Excellent
"My stay at Bicester Golf Club Hotel & Spa was genuinely enjoyable. The property is calm, well‑kept, and offers a comfortable experience across the board. The facilities are clean, the rooms are spacious, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. A special mention for Molly, who we met every morning at breakfast. She was consistently exceptional - warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. She remembered small details, checked in proactively, and made each morning feel welcoming. Her service stood out and elevated the stay."

"Fabulous hotel and absolutely perfect for us including for my son who is a wheelchair user. Great having room on the ground floor and plenty of space for him to manoeuvre including at breakfast time. Staff gave 11O% offering help by bringing items to our table at breakfast as I was helping my son. Disabled parking right next to the entrance. Perfect quiet location just a short drive from Oxford centre. Will definitely return and thanks to an amazing team who are so attentive and friendly."
