"The Melanesian is a long-standing feature of the Port Vila accommodation scene and it's very well-priced. The Orchid Rooms are very pleasant but they all face onto the pool area. So you will want to have the windows shut if the music played at the bar and people's conversations bother you. The AC unit in my room did an OK job with keeping the room comfortable even with windows shut. The rooms have a good desk and small table for people needing to do work while there. The included breakfast covers all the expected bases – a small range of fresh fruit, toast, fresh breads, cereals and cooked breakfast options for extra charge."
"Beautiful boutique resort in secluded paradise. Stylish and well considered accommodations, friendly and helpful staff, and great food. We kayaked every day to the shipwrecked yacht and walked to Embas beach for snorkeling, which was remote and secluded. Good snorkeling off the front beach also. Highly recommend and hope to return 😊"
"Had the most perfect stay in paradise. Everything you want for a relaxed island getaway. Accomodation was perfect, staff very friendly and helpful and excellent meals at the restaurant. We used the kayaks every day and snorkeled at the small reef to the east of the island. All villas appear to have water frontage. Could not recommend more highly if you are after a low key and relaxing escape "
"The room was clean and beds comfortable. The staff were all lovely. During a power cut (due to a car taking out the powerlines not due to the resort) the staff came around with candles. The pool is very well maintained. Having our own reef shoes and snorkels was a good idea though there are plenty at the hotel. It would be good to see (at ALL the sea swimming sites) signs for people not to stand on the reefs if they are swimming as it wrecks them. The only minor issue we had was our doors were not closing properly or running well on the tracks but otherwise a great spot."
"The staff prepared a very generous daily breakfast overlooking the serene water. They were so lovely and accomodating and are always there for a chat or to help out. Surrounded by amazing greenery and close to the centre. "
"A solid 3 star resort. Below par in a lot of things to include having mould in the rooms and poor bedding. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom were broken. We asked for a room change and still found the same issue such as broken fixture, mould and the bedding had an odour and lets not talk about the wifi. The island is beautiful thought with great staff and the food was good."
