Exquisitely beautiful and elegant hotel in a prime location in central Kyoto next to the local market and shops. 2 metro stops away from Kyoto station where you can catch the Shinkansen to Tokyo or Osaka. Fantastic hotel and 2 bed suite was amazing. We wish we’d booked longer. The happy hour was exactly what we needed, too! The free sake tasting and craft beer was so nice. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Mimaru has a great set up and we’ll definitely use it again when we return to Japan.

The hotel is fairly new. It is centrally located within the district we stayed in about 4 km from Kyoto Station. The hotel staff were very helpful when we had to change our travel plans due to the cyclone that hit Tokyo and managed to find us alternative rooms in the hotel. Excellent service.

Clean hotel in a great location.

Lovely clean quiet gem of a place. Very intimate away of the crowds. Room and bathroom well designed to maximise the space. So glad we chose to stay. Staff were wonderful too.

Check in & out was so quick & easy, especially checking out - you just put your key card into a machine & you’re done. The hotel is in a great area as indicated by the ‘What did you like?’ section above. The rooms were always cleaned & restocked with bottled water, towels, etc.

Excellent super modern hotel with reasonable size rooms within 5 minutes walking distance of metro. Good base for Kyoto with regular buses to Gion. Reception staff are super helpful. Drinks and pastries free all day !
