We absolutely loved our stay here. Margaret upgraded us to a self contained apartment and it was so quirky and fun. The apartment was so comfortable and Margaret couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was delicious in the main house and we enjoyed chatting to Margaret whilst eating. The house itself was absolutely stunning. We would most definately come back and stay with Margaret again.

Highly recommend, everything you need great location great host

The hotel is really well situtated and about 10-15 minutes walk from a lot of what you'll want to see and visit in Halifax. The staff were friendly, helpful and kind. The room was clean although the bathroom a little tired. The bed was so comfortable and I really liked the blackout curtain which meant I slept really well. The gym is small but functional. The pool is bigger than you'd think and is so light with windows everywhere so feels really luxurious. Would choose to stay here again.

What was unique was that there are no staff on site. Check-in was by code and breakfast was help yourself in the kitchen and wash up your own items. Not a problem and the place was very quiet- perhaps too quiet for some. So not really a hotel if by that you expect a manned reception and a bar. But the room was very good and well appointed and the hot tub and seating area a bonus, and the location on the river bank was great.

Wonderful staff always willing to help

A beautiful resort with plenty of activities alongside golfing including a spa, free use of bicycles, tennis etc. Also plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities including bears, deer, foxes and seals. The room was lovely and a good size with a balcony overlooking the golf course and sea. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and the food was exceptional and service professional but friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the chef and bar staff were happy to accommodate special...

The hotel was new built and had been open for only six weeks. It was immaculate.

The hotel was very busy. We booked a room with access to the executive lounge which proved very useful for relaxing and food. Would do it again.

Useful to have a launderette on site as we're in the middle of a 3 week holiday and needed clean clothes!

Lovely, clean property. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Ideal as a base for visiting different areas around Halifax.

The hotel is a lovely old building with character. The staff are friendly and helpful, happy to provide useful suggestions about the area. The hotel restaurant is one of the most highly rated in town. It serves delicious food. It also stays open later than most. Nearly all the restaurants in Annapolis Royal close at 7 pm!
