"I came to The Two Life Boats for work, as I was teaching a class that evening and then early at an event the following day. Honestly — I couldn’t have had a better stay. My room was gorgeous, the food and wine was outstanding and the staff were so attentive. I couldn’t stay for breakfast as I had to get to an event early, so they packed me a lovely lunch! "The fabric of the hotel is gorgeous and the grounds are stunning. Our biggest disappointment was breakfast. We had a full English and the bacon was awful. It was over cooked and had then kept in a warming drawer for too long. The result was cardboard that we couldn’t eat. Also the white toast was so dry that it was like a crisp. So disappointing as we always look forward to breakfast when we’re away for the weekend."
