Qambathi was absolutely stunning. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff who made sure our stay was all we expected and more. Nadia and Stephen are lovely hosts who really went out of their way to accommodate us with our pets. The rooms were clean and comfortable with lovely garden views. Forest walks and mountain views near by and the food was delicious too. We would definitely return to Qambathi again.

What a stunning place with a fabulous view. The breakfast was delicious and enjoying it in that location was special. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

The staff are amazing with their personalised and friendly service making it a home from home with a 5 star feel. This came recommended by a family member and we were not disappointed either. Little surprises and treats along the way make it superb.

We know Durban well, have stayed here before and will do so again. We give top ratings in every department but outsiders should know that you must have a car because it is in a residential area with no shops or restaurants close by. The owners are on site and super friendly and energetic. Breakfast is great.

The staff were all attentive and friendly with great meals and selections of wines. Rooms were decent with good wifi connectivity. There was also a choice of two pools in the lovely grounds however both were very cloudy a temporary bulb I am sure

What a stunning location, and a great friendly lodge with excellent food and ambience. Ron was a really great guide to Spion Kop, and also an excellent host at dinner etc. Great stay!

5 stars all round! For a 3* rated property, there have better facilities than some 4 and 5* places where I have stayed. The staff are an asset to this property. Breakfast was fantastic. You can also organise breakfast earlier if you have an early morning excursion. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

My stay was longer than usual in Durban. Initially I had reservations about booking a guest house but found the experience from start to finish excellent. The team made my stay memorable for many reasons… warm breakfasts and that daily muffin, keeping the room fresh everyday, clean linen and towels are all important to keeping one’s stay happy. The owners (who live on the premises) are wonderful and kind people who are happy to stop by to say hello with meaningful chat. The views from my room is...
