I was travelling solo around Japan and on quite a tight budget so this was one of my pricier stays ... it was well worth it though! Lovely to have the Japanese style room for the experience - and the onsen was perfect having inside and outside options. The location was perfect - immediately adjacent to the key attractions of the area ... the only slight issue was lugging my bags up the hill as I missed the shuttle bus and made my own way there. The staff were very responsive thought coming...

very big room friendly and helpful staff short walk to five colour lakes if you are climbing mount bandai take a taxi to the happodai entrance and book a return as most mobile phone don't work no public transport to from happodai and two hour walk to nearest bus stop hotel has shuttle bus to station and public buses stop there
