"Ross and Laurel’s cottage is folded into beautiful, steep, wooded terrain. Windows in DR and LR receive late afternoon sunlight and gorgeous sunsets. The soothing sound of the stream is heard from decks and through open windows. Through the trees, past the creek -- a horse, a few goats, and some donkeys graze on steep green pastures. "The property is beautiful with wonderful views of Chatuga Lake. The room was neat, clean, and comfortable . The bed was so-so on comfort. My room could use some sprucing up due to age. I think being surrounded by large magnolia trees, the balcony doors do not appear inviting. I would stay again because it was clean and the price was better than other hotels. "
