⚠️ IMPORTANT: Mountain Driving, Weather & Access Information
Our cabin sits at 8,700 ft elevation. While the drive is considered manageable by most guests, arriving properly prepared is absolutely essential due to mountain conditions.
VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS:
AWD/4WD is required year-round.
Snow tires are mandatory from November through April.
Our driveway is steep, and we strongly recommend 4WD during winter months.
The first 0.25 miles down the mountain from the cabin are especially steep—please drive this stretch with extra caution.
WINTER CONDITIONS (NOV–APR):
We provide professional snow removal, but weather in the mountains is unpredictable. Snow and wind can cause snowdrifts on the driveway, deck, and hot tub area even after plowing.
We cannot guarantee the driveway will be fully cleared before arrival.
Ice can form quickly—please use caution at all times.
GUEST PREPAREDNESS:
Please bring appropriate footwear (hiking shoes or snow boots with strong traction).
We provide snow shovels for guests to manage light snowfall between plow visits.
Many guests love the true mountain experience here, but if you’re not comfortable with winter driving or variable weather, this may not be the best fit.
Your comfort and safety are important to us—please feel free to reach out with any questions before booking. We’re happy to help you assess whether this property is right for your group.
Other Things to Note:
If it snows during your stay guests may need to shovel the deck/pathway to clear a path. We have snow removal service after every major snow storm ends but it is possible you may need to shovel snow. Ice melt is readily available. If roads are open and you can't make it to the rental no refunds will be issued. This is a beautiful mountain home and you need to be able bodied to access when there is adverse weather.
We are a dog friendly rental. We charge a non-refundable pet fee of $75. You can select the pet option in the same area you select guest count. If you have missed it, please reach out to us to pay your pet fee. Please inquire about multiple pets, multiple month stays and if you are traveling with cats.
The Air Conditioning is a mini split system installed in the bedroom.
There is a weather monitoring camera facing the driveway only.
There are no parties or events allowed at the rental.
Maximum occupancy is 2 guests.
HOT TUB
Our hot tub servicer rotates the service day. It typically falls Mon-Tues, but this can vary from week to week. There is a chance the hot tub will be serviced during your stay. When the water is changed, it takes 12-24 hours for the water to reheat. If this occurs during your stay, we cannot guarantee the hot tub will reach the desired temperature at that time.

We absolutely loved our stay! The property is just as beautiful as the pictures made it seem and for a couple, it was cozy, romantic, and just exactly what we had hoped. The spaces were well appointed, the views were phenomenal, and it was close to all that Evergreen and the surrounding wilderness had to offer. We will definitely be coming back :)
We were very happy with our stay here! My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway with our two dogs for our 2 year wedding anniversary and it was everything we needed to be lazy and relax with a beautiful view and stay! We will be back!
We stayed here for our elopement weekend, and it was fantastic. You can't beat the views, and how cozy it is in the living room and bedroom upstairs. The hot tub is a huge plus, as well as seeing a deer and fox. I definitely recommend this space- the deck is incredible! Quick communication with the host as well.
My wife and stayed here for Thanksgiving week. The view from the patio is stunning, and the hot tub works great. The kitchen's small, but well organized, we were able to do a full Thanksgiving meal.
The cabin was amazing and very quaint and had all the necessities one could want. There were extra blankets if we got cold as well as a pellet fireplace which made the cabin smell so cozy. The hot tub was perfect to sit and watch the sunsets and the kitchen and washer/dryer was equipped with everything. The host was very receptive to any questions we had and it was the perfect getaway! While we were hoping to see a bear or moose, we got to see a red and black fox, eagles, and many deer.
It was a quaint eight frame house with very modern Is interior furnishings. The hot tub was very convenient and always heated. The front porch is very big and comfortable. Nice view of the north facing mountains. Internet and set up my tv was sufficient. Queen tie's bed was comfortable. The fire pit was very useful..
We wanted to stay forever and weren't ready to leave after 5 days. It was clean, and it is so high up in the treetops that the morning sunrise and birding wildlife are next-level spectacular to enjoy (hummingbirds, stellars jays, deer). We stayed in the middle of July which was not an issue for the A/C unit in the bedroom upstairs. There is a vent from the bedroom that pumps air down to the second floor. The temps are easy to manage with the cool of the morning, and the A-frame was precisely set to enjoy views but not get blasted with the midday the sun. Loved the hot tub experience-- very clean. Finally, we had excellent communication with our host. Immediate responses. The whole experience was incredibly easy, and we felt safe. Just know what you're in for in spring/winter because the roads starting with the 2-3 turns leading up could be a different challenge in snow or icy conditions. Finally, there are several close hiking trails. No issue coming and going. As with any Evergreen property, you have curvy, winding roads in and out of there. This one is at elevation 8660. We were still in and out daily visiting trails, Evergreen Lake, Golden (father), concerts, and horseback riding. Marking one of our turns leading up was a quirky animal skull/ bones display about 1/3 mile from the property (not the host's). It's something we chuckled about each time we turned the corner that marked our destination, so a memory now.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
We enjoyed many parts of our stay. The home has a charming design and layout, and the hot tub and deck were especially nice at night. The area was peaceful and quiet, and overall the property had a comfortable atmosphere. That said, a few issues made the experience feel below the standard we expected for the price. The biggest disruption was water from the bathroom leaking through the ceiling into the kitchen below. We understood at the time that this was not an active plumbing leak and appeared to be from excess water getting onto the bathroom floor and seeping through. However, the amount of water that came through was surprising, and the visible wear around the ceiling spots suggested this may have happened before. Regardless, it was a bit of a disruption. There were also smaller issues, including very limited utensils, only three forks and three spoons, which made things difficult when we hosted another couple over for dinner. We also noticed maintenance and cleanliness items, including windows that the maintenance person said needed to be replaced, a garage code that did not work, and a grill that needed a thorough cleaning before use.The host was responsive afterward and offered a small goodwill credit, which we appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed the property and peaceful setting, but given the cost, the water incident and basic supply/maintenance issues were disappointing.
Great private property with plenty of things to do in surrounding area. Hot tub while staring at the stars is a great way to end a day of hiking or whatever activities you have planned. Morning coffee on the deck watching the sun come up and the wildlife is a wonderful way to start your day.
