"We loved this cottage it fulfilled our needs for what we wanted in a holiday. The cottage is lovely and the secured garden was great for our aging dogs. I would have appreciated some cleaning products and extra bin bags - but I always bring cleaning wipes away with me. It would have been handy if the garden parasol was replaced as I received a message that it had broken - It would have come in handy with the hot weather. But we had a fantastic time and hope to visit again"

"We loved our family stay hear. Definitely would come back . The hosts were lovely, helpful and friendly. The area was great, had animals on the doorstep witch the kids loved feeding and holding the chickens and feeding the sheep. The woods was a few metres away witch was great. Some great places to visit less ten 10 minutes away. The cottage was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely time . Thank you "

"Wow what a beautiful setting Lydney Park farm is! Loved staying in Bettys shepherds hut ! Loved the hut itself, it is just beautiful. My husband and I along with our springer spaniel stayed for 2 nights from 31 July, 2026. Our boy loved the open field, sitting on the decked, how close we could walk from the hut straight into the Forest of Dean. Loved looking up at the sky, seeing the stars from our bed! Loved the decked terrace, great to eat dinner, breakfast and for drinking cocktails. Would highly recommend staying here. We will be back to visit!"

"Such a great stay. Immaculate and lovely setting. Only thing to improve would be the WiFi. The TV didnt work well at all and we wanted to watch sports and couldn’t. Some WiFi boosters into the lounge would fix it."

"There were extensive bluebell woods outside the front door. Views across the valley to the Roman temple at Lydney and dark, quiet nights. Great walking in the local woods and lots of birds and other wildlife. It was a perfect break."
