Lodge Barn, Forest of Dean - sleeps 18 guests in 9 bedrooms
10/10 Excellent
"A celebratory family occasion- eighteen of us ages ranging from 18mths to 70 and this was the perfect property and location. We were so lucky to have dry weather and spent the majority of our time outside with so much room, at one point there was badminton, mini football and paddling pool fun all happening at the same time. As a grandparent it was a joy just to sit and watch ( with a glass of wine). The BBQ worked well and lived the seating area.Everything you needed was available in the house , the kitchen was well stocked and the men were happy when they found the little chiller fridge for the beer in the utility room.Lots of bathrooms essential with five children under four.We all had a fabulous time , well worth the money, thank you ."
"Excellent service and very comfortable room Martin the
host was very friendly and nothing was to much trouble
We only stayed 4 nights but would have liked to stay longer if we had the time if only for the great breakfast
WE WILL BE BACK

The monastic ruins of Tintern Abbey are nestled in the heart of the Wye Valley area of outstanding natural beauty and can boast 900 years of history in their walls. This was the first Cistercian abbey built in Wales and only the second in Britain, and despite now being exposed to the elements, it remains one of the most stunning surviving examples of gothic architecture in the country.
