Its central location & reception staff are absolutely wonderful. Honestly, the reception team are amazing and did anything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible - exceptional.
The decor needs a refresh in our opinion. For example the floor covering lets the hotel down. Such the old fashioned carpet needs changing with wood/ tiled flooring.
The hotel’s really for people who like to listen to loud music, live music, a pub culture etc. For example, we never used the outdoor pool...

Excellent first impression very pleasant and accommodating staff went out of their way to please. Rooms well appointed and clean. Despite the devastation in the area due to cyclone 'Debbie' the hotel was coping with repairs but always keeping focus on customer service. Due to the short stay we were unable to fulfil some of the prearranged excursions and the lagoon nearby was closed due to the cyclone which would have been good for my grandson but would not hesitate in recommending Coral Sea...

I was advised that there is a complimentary shuttle bus and can be adjust if any of us need the bus earlier than 11am but didn’t mention that there is a strict 11am starting route .
That’s why I booked with Freedom Shores even they are quite far from the center (15-20 mins driving )but if I had to choose again the distance will put me off rebooking with them.
Otherwise all the rest was excellent.

Absolutely gorgeous rainforest retreat. Nice simple breakfast options. Bed was super comfy. It is quite a way from the town centre (not walkable or at least a LOOONG walk) but that added to the quietness.

Absolutely stunning property and we had a fabulous time. Only issue was the smell of seafood from our fridge which we raised with reception and advised they would contact housekeeping. Was still there and complained again and advised housekeeping had cleaned it. Asked if they could clean with bicarbonate soda or move rooms, and they left a bowl of vinegar in fridge instead. Helped to disguise smell which was bearable. No other issues, and 2 changes of towels during our stay

What a beautiful setting! Nothing could beat sitting on your balcony watching the marina, sea, islands and hills. The layout of the apartment made the most of the wonderful views. The apartments were in an excellent location, close enough to the biz of Airlie Beach but much quieter. They were very well equipped and ideal for couples or families.

The Sundays is in a picture perfect position directly on a gorgeous beach. Wallabies are in the gardens, cockatoos on the balconies. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who greeted every request with a warm smile. Special
mention to Matty and Paige who went above and beyond. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Cabin was very basic but good value and in an excellent location for getting to Airlie Beach. Irish girl on reception (sorry didn’t get her name) was lovely and we had an amazing time here, great as a budget option and although about 1.5 miles from the centre there were buses up until 2230hrs and a taxi was between 10-15 dollars. The walk in was pleasant but you were drenched with sweat after 5 minutes.
All in all no issues and would definitely return.

The property was spick and span and very well furnished. There were really good practical ameties. Also located right beside a supermarket and lots of useful shops. Highly recommended.
