"Lovely traditional hotel. Receptionist was extremely efficient and friendly. Room was as expected, clean but a little tired in places owing to the age of the building. Lovely fluffy white towels. Breakfast Was excellent with a range to suit all dietary requirements. Would I stay here again ? Yes ! "

"Hotel was in a great location close to main routes to Darlington and Middlesbrough. It was also close to Teeside Park which has an array of shops, a cinema and lots of eating options. The hotel was modern and clean with a good gym, check in was seamless and the staff were polite and helpful. I would definitely stay there again! "

"Second stay at the Golden Fleece. Ideal location with free/ secure parking. Staff are friendly. Only criticism is that the rooms are starting to get a little tired."

"Great hotel, nice clean room, a bit on the small side but more than adequate for a 1 night stay. Breakfast was quite nice with a decent selection of food. Staff were pleasant although I did have to ask twice for a receipt for a coffee I bought from the bar. The server inadvertently put the receipt in the till and went on to serve someone else."
