Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff and a 5 star breakfast. My wife and I had a 2 night stay for a ski weekend - the shuttle car to the slopes was efficient and quick. The spa was most welcome after a hard day on the slopes!

This hotel has no respect for Orbitz Platinum and should be removed from VIP list. I could select other hotels at cheaper price. I selected this hotel because orbitz advertised this hotel as a VIP benefit hotel. I paid over 300 dollar/night for a room but I was given a room which had a view of someone's backyard and a playground. The room also had no AC. The room was hot and humid. The room was also noisy as children were playing all the time next door. Being orbitz platinum we requested a room upgrade or same room with a nicer view. The front desk staff were really nice and wanted to do the upgrade as there were availabilities. Next morning during the breakfast time we also noticed the whole breakfast area was empty. The manager refused the room change without any logic or reason. Certainly the person has issues or has no respect for clients. The hotel group should be aware of this type of managers who brings no good to the business. I have been traveling to italy for last 16 years, and this is the worst hotel management I have ever seen. The manager was so disrespectful, even refused to talk to us personally. The room was so awful and experience was so bad that we decided to leave the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Snotty people working there. I booked 2 rooms last minute. A double bed for one person, and 2 twins for 2 people. This clearly confused the hotel staff. They didn’t separate the beds & when they did, only sheets, no duvets. Beautiful pool & sauna. Deck needs sanding as one girl got a large nasty splinter. Good location up the hill & through a park from the main area. No whirlpool unfortunately. Ok breakfast. Definitely not 5 star. More like 4. Service 2 stars.

Great hotel!
The good - 1. The last minute price was fantastic, especially at this time of the year (end of December) 2. Hotel is beautiful, bar is great and live piano music is fun 3. Breakfast is fabulous, never ending options. We would heavily recommend, however, to add vegetables to the buffet. 4. Mountain view - you can see Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco) a spit away and it's breathtaking. 5. Hotel will drop you off and pick you up as often as you'd like in the heart of the town, which is literally a 10-15 minute walk. So although not necessary, this was super considerate of them. The not so good - 1. Dinner prices, both a-la-cart and the Menu are disturbingly expensive, and the vegetarian/vegan options are almost non-existent 2. We have NEVER been in a 5 star hotel that limited 1 hour of spa/pool use to its guests. This was rather shocking, but we tried to make the most of it.

The staff was great and they were very courteous and professional. Always in a great mood. Going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and help us with all our needs such as dinner reservations, transportation to the ski lift, etc. Their van dropped us off and picked us up anywhere in town we wanted. Making moving around super easy in this town with almost no parking availability if you have your car and very little public transportation. I would not only recommend this hotel but I will for sure book with them in the future.

The property was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was confusion about the “complimentary spa services”. We though that included treatments, but it was only complimentary for access to the spa. At least the massages were good even if they were not included.

Fantastic 5* luxury hotel
Fantastic stay at the Mont Blanc Courmayeur from arriving to leaving nothing to fault it. Very attentive staff, great rooms and facilities, lovely- but expensive bar- suppose it is 5* so expect 5* prices. Fab breakfast and great spa. We will return next year for maybe longer so we can take the Skyway to the top of Mont Blanc in between skiing .

First time visit.
We really enjoyed our stay , thanks to really friendly and helpful staff and lovely clean rooms. Breakfast good , nice fresh fruit and pastries although could offer pancakes / omelettes as well as the buffet. Spa really nice and well managed considering covid regulations mean booking etc , but we always got a nice hour there. I think the hotel has potential to improve ( we didn’t eat dinner there as we saw it didn’t have great restaurant reviews ) but on the whole we all really enjoyed it and I would like to go back.Thanks to the really earnest staff.

Stayed at the Grand Hotel Courmayeur for just one night but very much enjoyed it. The hotel is new and in top condition, room was large and very clean and with a beautiful view of the mountains. Staff was friendly and helped out with all my requests. Only small negative note is the breakfast which isn't really "5-star", plus the fact that you have to pay for some normal extras like eggs and orange juice.

Nice location and very clean
The pool/spa while nice has very limited hours not sure why, maybe the management can enlighten us. All that money spent on the spa and it is only available a few select slots a day you can use it. Maybe if just the pool was open longer it would be better? The rooms are very clean and very comfortable, however I have to agree with other reviewers on the breakfast. €8 for a spremuta (Freshly squeezed orange juice) is ridiculous. Before the management say this is normal I have stayed in countless 4 and 5 star hotels across Italy and other hotels in the Italian Alps and freshly squeezed orange juice has never been charged for.

Dear Guest two times we have tried to send a detailed answer but its seam the reply was maybe too direct. Please note that all information and the Spa's rules are available on our website "SPA section" the same information is also inside the room directory available in each bedroom As well inside the room key holder as well the staff in the reception has informed you to contact the SPA department to fix the entrance. Regarding the time to spend inside the SPA, please note that we offer a shift of 2 hours per guest per day first, because we won't guarantee maximum comfort to enjoy the SPA Second, because it's not possible to fit more than 20 people per shift. third, because of the COVID, access and disinfection need to be frequent. Regarding buffet breakfast, we offer all food available on the buffet free of charge, the extras are available in a specific and clear card. Guests can upsell to PREMIUM programs and get all these extras included. Please note that we follow the same standards of major luxury hotel brands. The charge for fresh orange juice it's not strange, it's normality. in any case, we are at total disposal for further information. Post stay service

The hotel is nice and the rooms are ok. Unfortunately the lady at check in was very unprofessional not welcoming gave us wrong information and told us that all restaurants in town including the one in the hotel closed at 10 which was not true. We had to Rich to town and realizes restaurants were still serving.

Dear clients , Thanks for your review. We are sorry that our staff seemed rude to you, but the management checked all the passages happened with the front desk yesterday night and on. We reconstructed the details and facts as following: First of all when you arrived at 10.45 pm, the reception desk was just about to finish a telephone call with one of our guests. You waited for maximum 3 minutes seated in our hall and then we welcomed you. You had a reservation for Comfort Room with Expedia without free entrance in the spa. We gave you a free upgrade in a Deluxe Room and granted the access to the Spa for free the next morning (although check out is at 11 am). Since you reserved only for one night, you were not allowed to access the Spa in the afternoon of the next day (so after 11 am). You also asked to have dinner in our restaurant but it closes at 10 pm. We proposed you our bar which has few dishes and sandwiches, or that you could book a room service. You declined our choices. You also asked for a good restaurant in the city centre. We replied that all good restaurants in Courmayeur serve dishes only until 10 pm, maximum 10.30 pm. We, as 5 stars Hotel, only suggest the best restaurants and not the ones providing easy dinner or pizzerias fast food. Probably there was a misunderstanding between our concierge and what you really wanted to express. Sincerely The Administration Management

Wonderful holiday at the Grand
Overall a nice stay, and experience of Courmayeur, with our base at the Grand. Room was spacious and interior made of solid materials, and also had an oversized bathroom with a nice tub. Common areas felt fresh, clean, and grand in every way. The dining room was a tad too sterile, could have been decorated somewhat more and the acoustic a was poor. Breakfast room overlooks the mountains, nice to sit through the sunrise, getting ready to hit the slopes. The service offering met our expectations overall, with plenty of friendly and attentive staff, the on-demand shuttle bus to Dolonne and a sweet babysitting service during apres ski hours. The room was always nicely made, and housekeeping offered a daily bring down service. The hotels kitchen “La Fourchette” was first class, offering an impressive and always varied Northern Italian menu for dinner and also every day preparing a well assorted and fresh breakfast. A slight negative was the experience of staff’s stress during dinner service and inconsistency in handling of the serving. At the front desk, it was somewhat the same on some occasions. We had the pleasure of joining the New Years Party where the hotel really put its best foot forward and threw a fantastic party - it was nice to meet many of the other guests in this way and would recommend that to every visitor of 31.12.2020. By the way, we would love to come back too :)

Too expensive considering the offer
The hotel is new and in very well conditions. It is clean and welcoming I think on the other hand that it’s too costly considering the services. SPA is not included in room package ( however it is just a little swimming pool and a sauna) breakfast is good and healthy but not so special considering a 5 stars rate ( eggs or fresh juice are extra- to pay ).

Hotel that lives up to its 5-star rating
Second time in Courmayeur in this hotel. Every bit the 5 star hotel it is. Ski room for storing and changing ski gear is very roomy and plenty of bench space. Each locker has its own boot warmer for two pairs of ski boots.

Beautiful hotel but it came with some niggles!
Nice hotel, however a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice! Rooms very warm and no option to control so left with having door open every evening! Showers difficult to control temperature either cold or boiling. For a 5 star resort for skiing you would expect a bath too in a room of this size!! Whilst there are many reception staff they really didn’t speak good English which is something you would expect from this grade of hotel.

Dear Guest Thank you so much for your kind review on Expedia and for daylight some issues you have encountered during your stay For us it’s very important the guest’s opinion but we would like to reply to you up some point as follows: 1) Kettle is available in Junior Suite and Suite only but client staying in regular rooms can ask for that at the reception, unfortunately we were not informed therefore unable to delivery one in use free of charge during your stay. We strongly recommend clients to contact always the reception for any extra need. 2) All our Comfort, superior and Deluxe rooms are not equipped of bathtub, client can clearly find the room description in our website and as well on the supplier’s website ( Expedia ), only Junior suite and Suite are equipped of Bathtub and Shower , The water mixer works properly in each room, If client has some problem to use it we suggest always to contact our maintenance for an easy demo. 3) The reception is welcoming students in stage, they are learning to work and English as well, every student can be recognized by his or her badge. We honestly are really surprised about your review, for you info all our official staff has a pretty good level of English even we aren’t mother tong. Property was new and clean which was a plus and room was spacious for junior suite. On the negative, it was not a five star hotel for several reasons: 1- no concierge to assist guests with booking restaurants/activities so the check in-reception staff had to handle these requests. Several times, bookings for restaurants were not made when we arrived at the restaurant. 2- you need to take shuttle to the ski gondola in Dolonne but there was only 1 shuttle van during the busiest week, seating 8 people so you had to wait. 3- no communication about the hotel eating area changing due to private functions in advance. 4- the main restaurant allows items to be ordered off menu but simple things like an order of fries or a bowl of pasta is priced as a full first course menu item which is really a ripoff. 5- breakfast eggs, omelettes have an additional charge which is ridiculous for a five star hotel. Would not return here and would not recommend

If the front desk is too busy we use the back-office staff to support guest. Please note that your stay was during one of the most busy weeks of February where it’s quite impossible to find free tables , we suggest to all our client earlier reservations, unfortunately there was not interaction before your check.in when was too late find availability. That was the reason why our staff was really in trouble to assist you. 2) Shuttle service: The hotel offers until now a free shuttle service of courtesy with 8 seats running all day from 08am to 06pm, we understand your remark, I would like to anticipate that from next season the service will be increased of one more shuttle but all subject to charges, A complimentary service will be offered for PREMIUM reservations. 3) It’s normal in luxury hotels to exclusive some areas for private functions, special signs with all information are always available to inform our guests about some change, in any case the service provided is exactly the same, we apologize if that was disturbing you. 4) Regarding our restaurant we offer the Daily menu but we are also open to prepare something different, we do not think that it’s a crime to charge for extra courses, that is a normal procedure in a five star hotel. 5) The Hotel is offering a rich buffet breakfast, as you said omelettes and other specific meals out of our buffet are charged in extra, we can ensure you that other luxury hotel are working in the same way,

Beautiful hotel and the spa was a real bonus. The hotel staff were lovely but they were not able to resolve my booking error: requested two rooms with double beds and got one room with two king singles. A busy time of the year but the hotel is not inexpensive, so that was a disappointment.

Modern hotel with amazing views from our room. Breakfast areas is so lovely and pastries fabulous. We had a room with a balcony. (Only irritation is no tea/coffee facility in the room and that the restaurant doesn’t do tap water. From an eco point of view it seems silly to bottle water when there is beautiful water around!) Really lovely stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

50th wedding anniversary
We were on the next-to-last night of a 3 1/2 week trip to Italy. The hotel was perfect - a very comfortable room with a great view. Their recommendation for a restaurant was excellent and breakfast (with the view) was superb. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful Modern Hotel in ski resort town!
One of the best hotels at a ski resort town in Europe that we have stayed at. My wife and I were stayed 5 nights and the service was impeccable and attentive. The hotel room decor is modern and very chic but very practical. Lots of light grey stained wood panels and wonderful king size bed. Complimentary shuttle bus service was free and easy to book. Ski room was roomy and very clean and each room gets its own locker with boot and glove dryer built into each locker! Definitely lives up to the 5 star rating. Our room had a huge walk in shower and no tub which may not be to everyone's taste so should ask hotel for details of rooms before booking.

Nice hotel - lacking a couple of finishing touches
Great hotel well located about 5mins from pedestrianised centre of town. Staff exceptionally helpful. Couple of niggles that would have made this great. Breakfast a bit chaotic at weekends and fresh cooked eggs are charged extra for. When we we there Wi-Fi was only 1mb at best and there was no international tv - Italian only. Hotel advised that this was not usually the case so I guess we were a bit unlucky as unable to keep up with the news or Winter Olympics. No tea or coffee in bedrooms - only available at breakfast or bar. Finally Sps is beautiful but a bit cold and no hot tub.

The staff were outstanding, friendly, helpful and efficient. Location is fine and the shuttle set to Dolonne lift works well.

Hotel only 2 years old so condition good. Breakfast good. Spa bathroom didn't have shampoo and bath foam installed so not convenient; would have been better if there was a outdoor warm pool. No convenience stall outside hotel close by.

Lovely stylish and comfortable
We had an excellent 5 night stay at the hotel, the facilities are excellent and the decor/design of the hotel is pleasing. A nice mix of new modern clean design with rustic lodge feel accents. The bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom very nice, clean, spacious and stylish. We enjoyed breakfast each morning and took advantage of the spa facilities in the late afternoon after skiing during the day. My only gripe would be the daily car parking charge of 30 Euros per day which is steep! Staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a couple of drinks at the hotel bar by the fire.

We Will Stay Longer Next Time
One night and a morning in the spa were not enough. The whole facility is beautiful; the staff is very welcoming and accommodating; the scenery (the town & valley on one side, Mont Blanc on the other) could not be better. And we have paid more elsewhere for a lot less.

We didn't draw a Blanc!
Great hotel for a short stay within the Mont Blanc environs; clean air and spectacular scenery with the added bonus of a lovely spar pool for a late afternoon dip after all that exercise. We will be back!

Great trip
A great few days away skiing. Hotel well placed and shuttle to the slopes was great. Food good and staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel for a weekend in Courmayer
The hotel was clean, near the village and slopes. Decent indoor pool and spa. Breakfast was ok. The staff was very nice.
