If this all sounds a bit dramatic you should take the fantastic Croke Park Experience tour to get a very real sense of just how important and deeply ingrained the GAA and Gaelic games are to Ireland’s sense of itself.

Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport Central

Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport Central

10/10 Excellent
"I booked this room within 48 hours notice as our flights to our next destination were delayed. The reception staff were extremely helpful related to check in and travel information. This hotel was recommended by staff at their sister company, the Maldron Hotel in Dublin City Central. Myself and travel partner arrived hours prior to check in and the room was ready at the scheduled check-in time with an option to check in early for a fee. The two restaurants in the hotel were both clean and welcoming. The food was excellent and decently priced. The Lounge restaurant had some slightly cheaper options than The Collage, with some overlapping dishes on both menus. Extremely convenient location with free shuttle service 24/7 from hotel to airport. Ensure to read the signage as there is an orange shuttle bus to the airport *central* location and a coach bus to the airport location. Both rides to each hotel were comfortable. The Lounge restaurant had some slightly cheaper options than The Collage, and had some overlapping dishes on the menu. The room itself was spotless, with extra pillows and blankets on the shelf, iron and iron in board, tea/coffee tray, mini fridge, safe, hairdryer, towels, shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Easy check-out process with no issues throughout our stay. I would recommend and stay here again. They were also close to other restaurants and within walking distance with sidewalk or designated footpaths. Parking also available for a fee."

Marlin Hotel Stephens Green

8/10 Good
"The standard rooms are too small for two people with luggage, and there is so little wardrobe space, we couldn't unpack. A suite was much better, but still low on hanging space. The check in and checkout procedures are really good...mostly self-service, and the staff are really, really helpful if needed The restaurant and bar cannot be charged to your room, but I think that made things simpler. The self-service laundry is a great feature! The location of this hotel is excellent - right in the heart of Dublin and near all the main attractions. Final verdict: I'd go back there!!"
