Located at the foot of the hills, where the Etruscan town of Cortona stands, this modern retreat for family and friends promises complete rejuvenation and regeneration of guests of all ages. Outside, amidst delightful sunshine, there is a large private pool to enjoy summertime dips and a lovely pergola with open-air dining and a barbecue for an exquisite dining experience.

The villa is divided into 2 levels, with a total of 4 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as interiors adapted to all weather conditions to ensure maximum comfort and convenience. There is air-conditioning, central heating and even a romantic fireplace. The living room directly gives out the patio and features an easy-breezy layout with sofas, a traditional fireplace, a flat-screen TV and a full kitchen. Guests can use the dishwasher, microwave, oven, drip coffee machine and fridge available to make their holiday completely carefree.

All bedrooms in the villa are spacious and bright. Two bedrooms have a double bed and wardrobe, while the remaining two have 2 single beds and a wardrobe.

Extra charges

A Refundable Security Deposit of € 300 is to be paid on arrival.
Electricity is free up to 100 Kw/h for one week; consumption above 100 KW/h per week has to be paid on-site at € 0.35 per kw/h.
The town tax is also to be paid on the spot at € 2,50/pax/day up to 4 days. Guests up to 12 years old are exempt.
If necessary, GAS for heating in wintertime or when necessary because of climate, must be paid on the spot at GPL €5/mc.

Location

The villa enjoys a very tranquil location perfect for lovers of nature and solitude, especially those vacationers who want to get away from the city life with their loved ones. Just a short drive away are the food shops, and within a 7-minute drive, guests can reach the important cultural and artistic centre of Val di Chiana, Cortona. At Cortona, guests can explore the rich Etruscan history as well as check out the stunning Santa Maria Nuova church by Giorgio Vasari.

Shorter trips to other famous attractions and towns in the area can also be easily taken from here. Lake Trasimeno is a 20-minute drive away, meanwhile, Montepulciano is half an hour’s car ride away. Relaxation at the Rapolano Spa is also half an hour from here and guests can easily make their way to beautiful Arezzo in 45-minutes! Perugia, host to several music fests and other events, is a 40-minutes drive from this holiday rental near Cortona.

Florence’s international airport is 70 minutes away. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of May 2025 to the 30th of September 2025

Lovely villa

We had a lovely stay at the villa. The owner was very helpful and the villa was clean and tidy. The children loved the pool. Villa was a great location for fast train to Rome (nearby station) and a drive to Florence plus many other beautiful hill top towns.

Lovely villa, if slightly tired in living area. Great location to visit Rome (fast train from nearby station), Florence by car and lots of other lovely places. Also not too far from supermarkets. Owner very responsive with any issues. Very well stocked kitchen - lots of crockery, glasses and cutlery. Pool fantastic, kids loved it.

Das Haus ist so wie auf den Fotos beschrieben,die Größe war für uns zu 6 sehr gut.Es ist von allen ausreichend vorhanden ( Besteck,Geschirr,Stühle ,Liegen usw.) . Das Haus ist komplett eingezäunt,was sehr praktisch mit Hund war . So konnte auch unser kleiner Zeergspitz ohne Probleme den Urlaub genießen.Einziges Manko waren die Betten ,diese sind 1,60 m und die Matratzen sind sehr hart bzw. durchgelegen. Der Trasimenische See war leider auch nicht toll.Viele tote Fische ,einfach nicht geeignet für Baden oder Wassersport.

Great house

We found Villa San Lorenzo to be a perfect home away from home for all of us. (My husband, myself and 3 adult sons) We did not want to stay in town but chose to stay in a more rural area which was not for from the lovely hillside town of Cortona. We rented a car and found it pretty easy to go to the grocery store and other towns. The home is spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool large and refreshing. The owner, Daniele greeted us with his lovely assistant Valentina and he checked in on us regularly to make sure we were ok and that all was well. He assisted us with transportation in a way that was above and beyond our expectations. We were grateful for his hospitality! Thank you Daniele! Thank you also Valentina for your help this morning! Ciao!!
