"The plus side: Nice clean cottage, welcome basket with fresh bread, haribo sweets, wine. Flowers on table, tea, coffee, sugar and even treats for the dog. Sky/netflix. Bed very comfy. Nice white towels. Good communication from owner. 2 local pubs- the Nelson ...no food gd beer. Rising sun, pub grub. Both friendly pubs. negative side: Right on a very busy,noisy road. We could not work out why so many lorries etc cut through there. We did sort of get used to the noise except early...

"The cottage is cosy, comfortable and easy to live in. The location is beautiful and secluded with a lovely little village only a few minutes drive away. Plenty of things to do within a few miles drive and lots of walking. Jo, the host, is welcoming and very helpful. "This was a lovely property on a farm & great value. The welcome was warm & friendly. The beds were comfortable & the freshly laundered bed linen smelled lovely. It was a short drive to Alton Towers. The WiFi was slow though & there isn't great mobile reception. However, I would thoroughly recommend it & we all said we would stay again in a heartbeat."
