Attention to detail, everything was spotlessly clean. Good shower, nice towels. Refreshments in room.Friendly hosts. Lovely breakfast, cooked to perfection. Bar if you fancy a tipple. My only slight negative was lack of blackout blinds or drapes, was awake very early as the room was flooded with light. But everything else spit on. Thank you Diane & Chris.

Our stay was excellent, clean & very comfortable room, Nigel and Kath were very nice host nothing was to much trouble for them if you needed anything. Breakfast was really good choice of cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, full English breakfast, fruit juice & tea or coffee. Lovely dining room very homely and comfortable very well set out. The owners have done a wonderful job in making the hotel spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with every bit of detail. Even the car park and waste bins are immaculate. The breakfasts are cooked and presented in a style that could compete with a Michelin chef. Easy walking distance to the main town with beautiful sea views. It’s a gem and a credit to the owners. great place to stay before your climb to the peak! the route is right outside of the hostel. great overall stay and the breakfast in the morning was good, the only thing i would say is can get a little cold in the winter months and the noise by passing cars can be unsettling, apart from that the place was a great stay, thanks to all the staff.

The hotel is a sizeable place, nicely decorated and the grounds are well maintained. Website pictures of the rooms are generous... but no complaints. Everywhere clean and tidy, room was comfortable (albeit a wee bit smaller than expected), parking was safe & easy and breakfast delicious. Location is excellent. Beautiful part of the world. The £97 for a nights stay with breakfast inc was good value, and we would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Abbeylands and would definitely recommend it. We were are a party of 7 adults and 5 children staying for a 50th birthday celebration which involved a visit to nearby zip world (less than 40 mins away.) There were some minor maintenance issues (e.g. toilet seat loose; dishwasher stuck on very long programme) but these did not detract from a lovely stay in a beautiful house. 12 friends staying for a 60th birthday, the house is spotless & great layout. Seats for all in the lounge & openplan kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. Only an 8 minute walk to shops, pubs & restaurants. Would stay here again.
