"Lovely little cottage in a beautiful setting. Great walks around. Bed comfortable and lovely warm shower. The welcome package was very helpful as I arrived late on Sunday and forgot the English shops closed early!"

"The property is small, and perhaps a little dated, but was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was good for us, and ideal for a short break."

"Lovely holiday get away, horse stables on the working farm was lovely, was a shame my maltipoo dog did not feel the same way. Great value for money. Bottle of wine was very much appreciated."

"Very clean, very warm, very cosy. Excellent"

"We had a wonderful stay. The hut was tastefully decorated and had all the home comforts. The only advice is, as with all wood fired hot tubs is that it takes roughly 3-4 hours to heat up. But it’s worth it! "

"Had fabulous stay at Bertie’s retreat …hot tub was amazing too . Only thing I missed was an oven ! "

"Out in the country but easy access to main routes. Nice and quiet. Very clean and well equipped. Nice owners. "

"We booked for two nights at this cottage but unfortunately, our experience was so bad that we left after the first night and went home. After we eventually found the property (signage and directions were not great) we found it unlocked with no key. There was one electric heater in the living room but otherwise the central heating did not work and it was a chilly evening. The thermostat did not rise above 16 degrees. The hot water at the sink was barely lukewarm so we didn’t even attempt a...

"We had a lovely time staying for a week with our German shepherd dog. Perfect base for exploring the peaks. We really enjoyed the dog wash and private garden space."

"Perfect property for a family gathering. Lots of space inside and for dining. Parking was great outside the back of the house for all three cars each day."

"The property was lovely and clean beautiful views and was so relaxing"

"A really lovely property - very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Great location in the Peak District with pubs in walking distance and short distance in a car to lots of activities and places of interest. Offroad parking for at least 2 cars. The property is pet friendly with hard floors throughout the ground floor but the garden is small and not the most secure if your dog is large or an escape artist. Our shnauzer was very happy and there is a lovely open green directly in front of the...
