A lovely quiet place, friedly personal, familliar athmosphere, very tastefully designet rooms

Polite stuff, great time in the pool, very quiet and peaceful sitting outside in the sun, good sport facilities. Cholchester with its lovely zoo is close, nice pubs and Indian restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Great hotel, location and staff. Parking although free was on a first come basis and limited. Great room only surprise was there was no airconditioning and safe, other than that no complaints

They adopted us like family. They were fun to be with and extremely helpful with all our needs. The building is old and lacks a lift. So navigating the narrow steep stairs can be be difficult. But the bartender was more than helpful carrying our luggage up. The town centre is a short walk and well worth seeing. It is the site where the Mayflower launched with the Pilgrims for America. And Blossom the cook makes incredible meals at a modest price.

Very nice experience , would always stay in this hotel anytime in Colchester.

Very clean, great staff and comfortable. It's quite a distance from town however only requires a £10 taxi journey. The bar area is nice for a few drinks before heading out for the night

This hotel is for chillers only. Just relax and forget all your worries. Fantastic food, great staff, top class facility. BUT; dont have a 2nd floor room when it's the hottest weekend of the year. Not that you'll know when you book but it was just too hot. No air conditioning just a small noisy fan so took the edge off the chill factor! However, its was a fantastic base to explore west Suffolk. Do try it.......

The overall experience of our stay was very good. Being extra critical, the only down points were the fact the toilet is separate to the bathroom and I felt breakfast isn't as good as premier inn

Birthday treat for my Husband, very characterful hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Tasty breakfast full English or buffet selection of fruits and cereal, yoghurts and baked breads.Would be a lovely setting for a wedding reception. Pond in gardens and lots of lovely flowers in pots. Accommodation all clean. Was upgraded to a large suite room with four poster bed and a jacuzzi bath. Spa facility small but lovely pool ... just the right temp, sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room (although wasn't working) Massage services seemed very popular couldn't fit us in so recommend booking before you go.Would go back again!
