"Excellent location, staff were friendly and helpful, beds were very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was ok. The steak was very over cooked and was like a frisbee. The duck was tough, the triple cooked chips were hot and delicious. The breakfast menu had a great selection and was very good."

The building (dating back to the 1590s) is full of character and beautifully preserved.I stayed in one of the original rooms on the very top floor, which added a lot of charm and character to the experience. It really felt like stepping back in time, but with all the comfort you need. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. It’s also very dog-friendly, which gives the hotel a warm, cheerful atmosphere.The location is perfect, just minutes from the main high street, cathedral and shops.Definitely the place to stay in Cirencester — highly recommended!"
