"We had a great stay at Kyoto Granbell Hotel. Coming from Canada, we expected the room and bathroom to be quite small by our standards, and they were, but that was not a surprise and didn’t take away from the overall experience. The service was excellent, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the food was very good. The location was also fantastic, making it very convenient to explore Kyoto and get around the area. The hotel is close to Gion and many restaurants, shops, and attractions, while still being a comfortable place to come back to after a long day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again when visiting Kyoto."

"Lots of attention to detail, everything works, and the silent alarm is very useful. The restrooms and showers are clean. Despite many capsules on the floor, it was very quiet and private. The common area on the 8th floor is useful and social. The only room for improvement is that I wish they would circulate the air better and freshen it up. It gets pretty stuffy, although I understand it might be hard to manage with so many people staying in one place."
