Beautiful hotel right on the lake, easy to get to, staff were very attentive and curteous, and the private onsen room was spectacular. It was authentic and pristine. Very much enjoyed :)
Everything was exceptional. Did not use the communal spa because we had a private spa in the room with a beautiful view of the lake. Hotel had a shuttle to the train station.
This was a nice little hotel. We were the only non-Asians and I think non-Japanese there. It is a Japanese style hotel. So you’re sleeping on futons on the floor. And the room is to Tommy mats. We had a room with our own outdoor bath, which is nice. The place was clean. The staff were very attentive. The service was excellent. They had a buffet breakfast the first couple days which was OK. Mainly Japanese food. But it was good. Not great. We had a set Japanese breakfast our last two days which was interesting. Very different for Western but very tasty. Great service. Really nice presentation. The onsen was outstanding. They have two one is open 24 hours per day. The other is from 3 PM until 11:30 PM. They provide Japanese robes in your room. Of course the folks use these to walk on down to the onsen and we saw a variety of guests eating breakfast in their robes..They have a nice shop in the hotel for drinks and snacks and gifts. Because it was so empty they did not have a lot of services open. There was no bar or restaurant available. We did have a car so we drove into town to eat and shop. Overall was a very nice place. I liked it. It is a little bit old and dated, but for the true Japanese experience, I think it was great. I would stay there again.
Amazing staff, great location for a secluded stay to clear your head. I recommend taking in the lake view from the onsen to catch a sunset or sunrise. Peaceful place. Thanks again!
