"First look it’s clean , but our room on the bed base was stained on the side . All garden furniture needed wiping down , garden maintenance needed more work . On the whole ok but definitely needs some TLC . Some furniture in restaurant very shabby also ashtray outside was overflowing and wasn’t emptied the whole time we were there ."

"A couple bits of the room cleaning were unfortunately missed, and the breakfast left a lot to be desired. The listing mentions that the venue will be playing loud music, but I would’ve expected a bit more effort in soundproofing the rooms. I would not recommend this venue to anyone who doesn’t feel like sleeping one single-glazed window away from unrestrained club bangers until 3am and all the drunken revelries you would expect. Despite all this, was a nice room, good shower and toiletries, comfy bed, and very friendly staff!"

"Restaurant was excellent both for dinner and breakfast.. staff were helpful, efficient , friendly and willing to adapt the menu if asked. The shower was difficult to control heat wise and bathroom was small. The room was adequate but has too much furniture in it that prevents it feeling spacious and one of the 4 posts on the bed partly obscured the TV and the TV reception was very poor. The outside seating for Blooms was great, including the bus!"

"The property is in a beautiful quiet location. The house is spacious and modern. However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness- it hadn’t been swept or mopped before our arrival, dusty surfaces, cobwebs in windows, weeds growing in balcony which was obviously never swept or cleaned. Dirty sheets in one bedroom. Air conditioning not working in one bedroom. No toilet paper in four bathrooms. No hairdryer. Only 4 towels out for 8 people. The rest was in the wash and we had to put them in dryer. The hot tub only arrived in second day as it had been damaged by previous guests. When it did arrive we had to fill it ourselves which took hours! The connecting tap in the laundry room kept coming off the tap and flooding the downstairs lounge. We had to keep mopping! On the final day of our stay check out was at 11am , however at 9am a team of cleaners and hot tub installers came to dismantle the hot tub while we were trying to have a peaceful breakfast. With grandchildren wanting to make good use of the hot tub, this was disappointing! In addition we booked and paid for a 5 bedroom house. The fifth bedroom was locked and the host said we had to pay extra for the fifth bedroom!!! Outrageous! Our holiday was not a peaceful breakfast!"

"what a lovely place. I had all sort of problems getting there due to train cancellations and ended up driving. It meant that I was going to arrive later than planned, however, I still received such a friendly welcome that it made everything worth while. The hotel is lovely with exceptional staff and I could not recommend staying here highly enough. I will definitely be staying here whenever I am in the area."

"We celebrated our anniversary at the Goodwood hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The weather was very hot & sunny, but despite the heat in the reception and dining areas, the staff remained cheery and helpful. (The bedrooms are Air conditioned!) We enjoyed a drink outside at the Bar & Grill and felt that this could have been a little more attractive, but it certainly didn't spoil our afternoon."
