Shanghai is one of the most visited cities in China, and that's no accident. You'll find quite a bit to see and do here including the legendary Shanghai Museum and the China Art Museum. If you're looking for a more serene experience, however, you can always visit the temple and the iconic Yu Garden. Being a financial hub, the shopping opportunities are impressive as well.
When you visit Hainan, you'll find yourself on China's southernmost island. Being an island, beaches are among the most popular attractions here, but you'll still find plenty to do further inland. Coastal visitors typically partake in fishing and watersports while inland visitors spend time around Five Finger Mountain and its scenic trails and viewpoints. Plus, you can check out several historical temples too.
When you visit Beijing, you'll find yourself in the bustling capital of China. This city is home to quite a few iconic attractions including the Great Wall of China letting you finally cross that off your bucket list. The history and culture radiating from the city are palpable hosting temples, museums and historic monuments to thousands of years of culture.
Tibet is one of the most beautiful places on the planet where you'll find plenty to see and do. Sacred mountains and picturesque temples are available for visit, but you'll also find wide-open grasslands and lakes if you're looking for even more serenity. Just keep in mind that the entire region is at a fairly high altitude, so you'll need to prepare for that change when you visit.
Sanya is home to some of the best beaches in China where you can relax on the white sands surrounded by calm waters and towering palm trees. The water is clear blue making it an ideal spot for snorkelling and diving. When you visit, be sure to try the local tropical fruit. Seafood is also a major part of the culinary scene with many seafood restaurants using local ingredients exclusively.
The city of Shenzhen is most widely known for its expansive shopping opportunities and entertainment venues. The malls here are massive, but you'll also find more modest shops offering a variety of items like handmade clothing and high tech tools and toys. Amusement parks are also popular here, which makes this city particularly fun to visit if you're travelling with the whole family.

Day 1-3: Shanghai is the perfect place to begin your trip to China. Shop up a storm on Nanjing Road, then sample some exotic street food at People’s Square. Next, head to the Bund, Jade Buddha Temple and Yuyuan Garden and Bazaar. Cruise the winding canals of the “Venice of the East” at the charming Zhouzhuang Water Village.
Day 4-5: Fly north to the nation’s capital, Beijing. Spend a day checking out Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the picturesque Summer Palace. In the evening, pick up souvenirs on Wangfujing Dajie (the Golden Street) or relax and unwind at one of Sanlitun’s glitzy nightspots. Start the next day with a hearty breakfast — the Great Wall of China awaits!
Day 6-7: Ride the train to Xi’an. Visit the iconic Terracotta Warriors then explore the expansive fortifications of the City Wall and the fascinating Muslim Quarter.
