"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in Beijing for a 10 days family vacation. I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel. "Wonderful stuff, friendly and helpful. The room was unacceptable: old, with ripped wallpaper, peeling paint, non working AC (the hotel wasn’t able to fix it and suggested to keep windows open), dated furniture, signs of heavy wear and tear everywhere, stained carpet with holes. The mattress was extremely firm. The bedding was clean. They supplied plenty of bottled water. "
