"Really liked our stay here. It’s still a work in progress, so going here in the future will be even better. But for our stay, the bungalows (two story lodges) were brilliant! So clean. Airy. Had everything we could need. Cleaned daily. Food was available, but at cost. This wasn’t an issue and we enjoyed it washed down with a drink or too in the bar area. The hot tub/spa was nice. Lovely temp and surrounded by forest. Very relaxing. We stayed as a family of three, our son 9yrs of age. There was plenty of space to play with other kids he met. Plenty of toys and games available to keep him and other kids entertained (connect 4, jenga, footballs, frisbees etc) Was the perfect stay, and decent location for La Fortuna, just 20 minutes drive away"

Quiet Rainforest Mountain House near Volcano Arenal. Next to Hot Springs resort

"This VRBO is excellent, and such a unique find! My wife and three kids stayed here for two nights, and we truly wish we could have stayed longer. It is surrounded by the rainforest resort Chachagua, which has stellar food and gorgeous hot springs, not to mention great amenities such as night tours and really anything you'd be after in this part of Costa Rica. (Did I forget to mention their epic waterslides into the river for kids...and adults...so fun!). The house has great character, was so clean, has beautiful views out to the surrounding jungle, and every morning we heard howler monkeys and saw gorgeous birds like Rufous Tailed Hummingbirds and Caracaras moving around the decks. Other than nature though, it is quiet. It isn't too far from the hustle of La Fortuna, but feels so relaxed by comparison. It is slightly tricky to track down the keys, but if you read the directions on the VRBO listing they send you after booking you will find the keys just fine. Just look out for the Costa Rica flag on the house where you pick those up on your way into the resort. (If you miss it, it is only five minutes back, if that.) I really can't say enough good things about this host and the VRBO, and we are already planning a future trip back!"

"Our stay at Cabanas Caeli was perfect. Panlo is an outstanding host and a very kind man who will go beyond expectations to ensure you have a wonderful stay. He helped us organise day time activities, breakfast and dinner on site and taxi’s when we needed one.The jacuzzi was a favourite with the kids, not to mention stone painting and exploring the area. We loved the complementary fruit bowl with loc, fresh fruit. The setting is beautiful, waking up to hear animals and see the wonderful plants surrounding us. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Pablo and team."

"The staff here is absolutely fantastic! Even though our trip started a bit bumpy, they totally turned it around and made us feel so welcome and at home. Their hospitality was beyond amazing, and they were super accommodating to everything we needed. We're definitely coming back when we're in the La Fortuna area! They even helped us plan activities and surprised my sister for her birthday, which was so sweet! Big shout-out to Alejandro, Jimmy, Carlos, and Victor! Pura Vida !"

"Room was clean with beautiful views. Very helpful and friendly staff. They had good recommendations on stuff to do and where to go. Pool area was clean. Breakfast was delicious and they have a good variety of stuff to try. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay!"
