"We had a wonderful Christmas in the cottage. Beds were warm and comfortable. Sitting room was cozy with the wood burner. Kitchen well equipped to handle a full Christmas meal for all of us. Very quiet, semi-remote location. Far enough away to truly feel “in the countryside” but close enough to make a long day of it to London."

"Filthy kitchen, filthy fridge, smelly microwave. You could not use any of the crockery unless you washed it first. The crockery was put back in the cupboards unwashed. There was no hot water. The kitchen cupboards had sticky handles and I felt simply unclean being there. I booked 6 nights but left in the morning after the first night. I’ve seen reviews of this place a year old echoing my comments so the owner takes no notice of reviews. Beware. "
