The Willows Hotel is a small property and quite old. Old as in peeling wallpaper, outdated fixtures such as few electrical outlets, no USB outlets, and no ability to control room temperature with a thermostat (only a small electrical wall heater and a wall mounted air-conditioner.) The floors are literally wavy. We could also hear everything going on in the hall from our bed. The bedding was OK but the pillows were really cheap and lumpy. The mini bar selection was nice and the prices were very reasonable and that came in handy. However, there was no in room coffee maker and there were no vending machines or dining options whatsoever. There was coffee available in the lobby 24 hours so that helped. A big concern for us since my husband uses a wheelchair was that the property is not ADA compliant. He had to use a short and very steep ramp in order to access the hotel lobby. The ramp is portable and had to be put out every time we wanted to go out or come in. That was very unpleasant and that is reason enough for us to not stay at this hotel again. On the plus side, it is very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient for us visiting our daughter at Depaul University and it was close to restaurants and a few other shops.
