Gold Coast / Streeterville are neighborhoods in the Near North Side community area of Chicago, north of the Chicago River. It is bounded by the river on the south, the Magnificent Mile portion of Michigan Avenue to the west, and Lake Michigan to the east. The City of Chicago only recognizes a small portion of this region as Streeterville. Thus, it can be described as the Magnificent Mile plus all land east of it.
Streeterville includes some of Chicago`s tallest skyscrapers, such as the John Hancock Center, and upscale stores, hotels, and restaurants. The east side of Streeterville is Navy Pier, the most visited attraction in Chicago, and the John Hancock Observatory, the eighth-most visited attraction in Chicago.
Gold Coast / Streeterville is accessible via Lake Shore Drive with multiple direct exits in both directions.

This ensures that we can provide the best experience and availability for all our guests.
Online Check-In & Rental Agreement Required Before receiving check-in instructions, all primary guests must complete our online check-in form and review/sign our rental agreement. This helps verify guest details and ensures a smooth, secure arrival.
EXTRA GUEST CHARGE The base price covers 4 guests. For more than 4 guests, there is an extra guest fee of $15 per guest for the full number of nights. Example: 1 extra guest for a 5-night stay = $15 ร 5 nights = $75.
Refundable Security Deposit: A $300 refundable security deposit is required and will be `held` or `authorized` (not `charged`) by Chicago Hospitality Club on your card. Any property damage or extra charges may be deducted from the deposit. VRBO collects platform payments/charges separately, while Chicago Hospitality Club handles the deposit, so seeing both on your statement is normal. The deposit is automatically released 3-7 days after checkout.
Keys & AirTags: For transparency, some building keys or fobs may have an AirTag attached for loss prevention. The AirTag is only used to locate the key if it is lost and is never used to track guests or their movements. Guests are not required to carry the key at all times, but we recommend keeping the AirTag attached to help avoid replacement charges if the key is misplaced.
Security Deposit (Families with Young Children) A security deposit may be required for groups traveling with two or more children under 14 years old, as a precaution against accidental damage. My friend and our kids rented this place for a long weekend in Chicago. The property is great, in a fabulous location, and the owners are so kind and easy to get in touch with.
The property was exactly as pictured - loved our stay & will definitely stay again if itโs available on our next trip to Chicago. Location was also fabulous - as were the hosts in communication throughout our week long stay. Highly recommend!
Lovely apartment in a great location - conveniently located near public transit stops (bus and subway) and two short blocks from the Mag Mile. It made a fantastic home base for us. The floorplan is great - the two bedrooms are well separated and well organized. As a quick side note and aligned with other commenters - the mattresses are definitely on the soft side. That said, we would happily stay here again!
Tough to summarize how fantastic this property was. So many things to list. Just a great , comfortable, clean accessible address. The location was walking distance to all favourite destinations. Our group absolutely loved our stay
The condo was in a great spot on Michigan Avenue and gave us easy access to the museums and shopping. Plenty of space with two rooms and additional beds in the living room for the whole family and all the amenities needed during our stay. The owners were easy to communicate with and made the booking process easy. If you're looking for a great spot in downtown Chicago, definitely consider the Guild #1.

This is lovely spacious appartment in a great quiet location, walking distance to downtown Chicago, grocery stores, restaurants, museums and lake Michigan.
The cafe at the ground floor of the building does a fantastic steak sanwich too. Would highly recommend.
The property was exactly as pictured and described online. The location was spot on and close to most everything! When it was too cold to walk we just got a Lyft. Property was clean, easy to access, and owners responded quickly to messages. Will definitely stay here again!!

Bathtub in hall bath was slow to drain
Thermostat was set at 67 and we could not manage to change it to 74 or so, so we turned it off most of the time.
It was difficult for us to open the lock box to get the key - maybe just new to us
The location was great! Very spacious unit. Good hot shower with great water pressure. (A big plus for those who care about that.) Towels were nice and fluffy and soft. (Could use more washcloths, only supplied one each guest) King bed in main bedroom was very bouncy and no support. Maybe a better foundation would Help. Other bedroom had much better bed. So 2 stars for beds.
Unit has so much potential! Furniture was very cheap and basic, could use some better sitting chairs to relax! At the end of the day we had no where to prop our feet up. Definitely invest in more lounge chairs for your guests. Building was decent. 5 stars for location.
So to start out with the positive:
The location was fantastic, right near shopping and great restaurants.
The Cuban food located on the bottom floor of the building was amazing.
It's only a 10 minute walk to the red line.
The beds were large and very comfortable.
Some things I wish I would have known about the property before booking:
The building is older and the floor is really creaky when you walk on them.
There was no batteries in one of the remotes for the TV. We ended up buying some.
The internet is a little slower. So we had trouble streaming videos on our phones and laptops.
The ceiling fan in the room across from the front door doesn't work. There was one box fan that we found in the other rooms closet.
There is only one key fob to get into the building. So if your group spits up you might need to coordinate getting back into the building.
You do have access to the laundry room in the basement of the building which is free, but there is no place to buy laundry detergent there. You will have to purchase it yourself at the store.
The place and location fit our needs perfectly and the apartment was well-furnished and had all the amenities we needed.Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Chicago.
Stayed here for a Christmas get-together. Super convenient to lots of great stuff in downtown Chicago. Hosts were super accommodating and communicative.
Our family really enjoyed staying here during a recent vacation. The rental was very comfortable and JW And Tonya made sure we had everything we needed. You canโt beat this location. We hope to stay here again the next time weโre in town!
Overall a cute, clean, roomier place to stay. Location was good for River & Lake sites. The master bed has seen better days. The ceiling fan was not working, and we were there on 94 degree day. Coffee (Keurig) was great! Paper Towels, S & P, shampoo, conditioner, body wash all provided - nice! Streeterville is a good area. Overall pleasant stay!
The apartment is just like the photos - super cute and very large for a city apartment. The location was amazing being able to walk to Michigan Ave and Lake Shore. Everything you need in Chicago is right outside your door! Highly recommend!
