A great location ... a fine hotel.
We were in Chicago for the marathon and stayed at the Fairmont ,,, a wonderful location with pleasant staff. The first key cards issued to us didn't work and we had to go down to have them reprogrammed. The room was mediocre ... the carpet fraying along the edging, USB charging stations dead, and possibly the least comfortable pillows I've ever used. The hotel agreed to give us a complimentary fridge in our room which didn't work (it froze everything, on any setting) and then tried to charge us for the fridge at check out. Overall, everything was 'fine', but the experience considerably lacked the warmth and refinement of a top end hotel.

However, I am disappointed that your stay did not live up to your expectations. Our mission is to exceed every guests expectations and quite frequently the small things are more detrimental to an enjoyable stay.
I hope your travels bring you back to the Windy City again for the marathon next year.
