It is so beautiful that you have to pinch yourself every day to make sure that you are not dreaming. The staff are all amazing and they take such pride in the farm and the hotel. All of the food is locally sourced on the farm itself or nearby and the quality and freshness was unbelievable. We were genuinely sad to leave and we promised that we would be back next year. We found it first of all very crowded with day visitors everywhere. It was a rainy day and the result is that you can hardly walk to your room as nothing is paved. Our shoes were full of mud on arrival. Bathroom floor way too hot, very uncomfortable. Breakfast terrible. Bread is uncovered from 8 onwards, so if you arrive at 9 it’s all very dry. Fruit so big cut that it’s impossible to eat. Omelet was raw on the inside. Onion cut way too big and raw. We skipped the second nights breakfast and moved on to next destination. The attention to detail was amazing and very thoughtful, down to his and hers rain boots. Everyone we encountered from the staff were so warm and friendly. This is truly a farm-to-table experience with all the produce served at meals from their own gardens. There is so much to do from garden tours to afternoon drives, that we could have spent a whole week there. We can't wait to go back. Amazing food and breakfast experience. The gardens alone are a destination in itself. Beware that the suites section is closest to the country road (no noise issue at night but slightly as of early morning). The regular rooms are in the back of the property so this would be a more serene spot. I would have preferred feather pillows instead of those bulky synthetic stuffings. Service, interior, etc was excellent. Overall one of the very best experiences I have ever had because of the overall concept.
