The setting of the property is beautiful with the snow-covered mountains as a backdrop. There are dining choices either in the restaurant or a bar. Seating outside is an option with an overlook of a pond. The rooms are not fancy but comfortable.
We arrived late and restaurant was closed.the bar didnt have any snacks like chips and salsa or popcorn. Breakfast was good but didnt open till 7am. Stayed 2 days , missed out on breakfast second day.
The actual rating would be more like 4.5, but the toilet in the room was one of those very short ones. Makes it hard for seniors.
My guess is that the lodge gets more adults that kids and the those a standard size toilet would make more sense.
I like the view of the wetlands preserve and the mission mountains. The facilities are great and would be perfect on warm summer nights. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious which I absolutely love and the staff is amazing. I also like that there’s a door to the outdoors right inside the room.
Love the Ninepipes! Stay here whenever we can. Great staff, beautiful views, lovely restaurants with fantastic food, convenient location. Highly recommend.
Charming spot. Staff seemed overwhelmed and unequipped to handle large guest capacity. Location is remote- when we went to hotel restaurant for dinner, we were turned away because they couldn't handle capacity, so we went to bed hungry. The noise from the hotel bar and unruly guests also shook our walls, making it hard to sleep, so overall a very frustrating uncomfortable night. Shower was also like warm at best.
All was pretty good except the morning. There was some kind of thumping pipe sound that began at 7 am. We could not figure it out. We were at end of building and no floor above.
Then the room service folks started running vacuums at 8 am.
Everything else was fine.
I wish they served comp Buffett breakfast until 9:30 or 10 on weekend
The check in was strange. An online check-in, complete with vehicle and credit card info, was required. Then when we arrived the same info was required in person. I was concerned about scamming; however changes to my card seem to be as advertised.
The staff was friendly. The rooms were as expected for the price.
I did not get the room I reserved. I had reserved a mountain view.
The dining room was full, so I went to the bar. Very loud!!! Poor service. Waited 30 mins for my food. That was after a 20 min wait to even order.

The view from the balcony was priceless!! Convenience of food/bar was a nice plus…
This lodge continued to impress me everyday for all three days we were there. Hot breakfast every morning scrabbled eggs, potatoe wedges, thick bacon, and great sausages, toast of you choice made to order. Rooms are clean and spacious with immediant hot water in the shower. This was the best out of hotels we stayed at in 16 days of our trip. I give this a 10 score, excellent!
Located just off 93 north of Missoula. Looks like it was recently renovated, very nice. French press Coffee in the room was a welcome surprise. East views are fantastic. Included breakfast was wonderful. In fact it was one of the best we have ever had!
