(1,001 reviews) Mamaison Hotel Regina is a lovely, cozy, and conveniently located hotel. While it’s slightly farther from the main Christmas market, it’s still only a 5–7 minute walk to the Old Town square. One standout highlight: the best Irish coffee we’ve ever had anywhere was here—rich, creamy, and more like an espresso martini than a classic Irish coffee. Absolutely delicious. Our experience started unevenly at check-in. While another couple received a warm holiday welcome and gingerbread cookies, our check-in felt noticeably cold. The room we were initially given was an attic-style room with low ceilings, a small window, and only one sink—nothing like the room category we booked. After returning to the front desk and speaking with another staff member, the original staff member quickly resolved the issues and even offered cookies 😀( I was passed the cookie stage at that point) and we were moved to the correct room. The rest of the stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, it’s a charming hotel with a good location and nice amenities, but the check-in experience—and who greets you—can strongly impact first impressions.
