"Upon our arrival and check-in, I proceeded to my room and intended to take a shower; however, there was no hot water. I contacted the front desk, and a maintenance person arrived, informing me that they could not address the issue until the following day. I requested that they please resolve it in the morning, as I wished to shower due to the humidity. At 10 AM, no one had come to my room, so I returned to the front desk to notify them again. The concierge informed me that the issue had been resolved, but I explained that it had not been fixed, as I had remained in my room the entire time. He accompanied me to my room to verify that there was still no hot water, and he mentioned that he needed to consult his supervisor, which would take some time, leaving me without hot water at 1 PM. Since I had a spa appointment, I opted to take a shower there. Later in the afternoon, the hot water issue was resolved. Afterward, I went to enjoy a couple of beers, only to discover that the all-inclusive package offered only one type of Jamaican beer. I returned to the concierge and explained that I had communicated with the hotel via chat, where I was informed that several different beers, including Corona, were included. "This is a very nice, new hotels but it is very far away from the main area of La Romana requiring you to take a taxi everywhere. The taxi and Uber in this city are quite corrupt and will charge ridiculously exorbitant prices to drive very short distances. DO NOT stay in this hotel if you are white unless you have rented a car. We had some truly terrible experiences fighting with taxi drivers. "

"From the very first day, the bathroom was flooding every night. The water was dripping from the ceiling, and not just slightly—it was a significant and constant leak. We reported this issue multiple times, both by phone and in person at reception, but unfortunately no action was taken. What is most concerning is that only on the last day, at check-out time, someone was sent to inspect the issue, which turned out to be caused by the air conditioning. The amount of water was excessive and posed a serious safety hazard, especially for children. In fact, my son slipped due to this situation, which is completely unacceptable. Additionally, the air conditioning was making loud banging noises every 10 to 15 minutes. During the first nights it was quite alarming and made it difficult to rest. Regarding cleanliness, it was also below standard. The bed sheets were not changed, and when we returned to the room, there was still sand in the bed from the morning, indicating that cleaning was not done properly. This experience gave us the impression that, because we booked through an external platform such as Hotels.com, we did not receive the same level of attention, which is very disappointing.
