"Fantastic!! We had such a wonderful time the two nights we stayed at Hotel Scala and wish we stayed longer! We arrived our first night very late and were ravenous from our travels that day, the staff offered us dinner right after we got settled in at the restaurant on the property. We got wine and the spaghetti vongole, which was delicious. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cold which was lovely to come back to at the end of the day. The two men who ran the place were extremely helpful in giving directions to the Main town Ortigia as well as helping us with anything we needed! Lovely place & lovely people! The only thing we wish was different was the location being closer to the main town, other than that it was great! "

"Lovely villa, well equipped, fantastic cooking facilities BBQ & pizza oven Pool was very welcome with the heat. Charlotte the owner was fantastic answered any questions we had explained about the bus service close by to take us to Origigia. First for us we got clean towels & bedding after our first week this made a welcome change so I didn’t have to wash them Syracuse is a beautiful place to stop lots to see & do. Loved the Kola bar which was a short 14 min walk away. Plenary of restaurant within a 20-30 min walk Lovely beaches we drive to 25 mins away & Etna a must see Fabulous 10/10 "
"Lovely location and great family business. Antonio was a perfect host and made me feel like part of the family. Home cooked fresh food and cold beers was great after a long day ! Clean tidy room and great price. Highly recommended ! "
"The building is modern unfortunately the location is in the middle of no where. It is located between old houses some of them abandoned and empty lots, which make you, feel out of place. I choose this place because they offered "parking" but it’s street parking, no parking or inside parking; first come first serve and a few times we have to park on the neighbored properties. Also front desk service is very scatter, the only way of communication with them is by WhatsApp, which they don't answer right away. Mattress hard as stone, gave us terrible back pain. They offered. Netflix but it is not available, only if you are Netflix customer. No restaurant onsite, as they listed, or any restaurant in walking distance in the area. Business is done by people, and unfortunately the service felt short, it felt like they were doing you a favor by staying there, rather than being welcomed as guests"
