"Monica was the friendliest most enthusiastic host we’ve stayed with. Everything from her greeting to the amazing breakfast was perfect. She does a lot of baking, so the breakfast was really a treat and you could also get eggs cooked in various ways. The room was a little small but very comfortable. Parking was on the street, but it was fairly close and easy."

"We stayed here as a family of six, including our two 3-year-olds, and it was by far our favorite place during our time in Italy! The kids absolutely loved swimming in the pools and running around the beautiful property. It felt peaceful, safe, and perfect. The breakfast was lovely each morning—fresh, delicious, and a relaxing way to start the day. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of, which made the experience even more special. We only wish we had stayed longer! We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone traveling with little ones (or without!)."

"Gorgeous hotel in an amazing location and we really enjoyed the wine tour and on site restaurant. The only negative was that the shower constantly flooded the bathroom which meant it was difficult to use and some of the furniture had marks on the fabric etc which does spoil the overall look of the room. "

"It was wonderful to stay in a castle in Tuscany no less Every person we met was attentive and kind We were staying near friends and didn’t hang around the grounds much or use the pool but everything seemed well kept It’s really a place to retreat to eat at and sleep at which served our purpose well "

La Luna, Montefiorile, Gaiole in Chianti, Siena and Chianti

Tuscany stay

"Property is off the beaten track so very peaceful. La Luna was a little small in the kitchen lounge area for 4 people (needs another sofa). Unfortunately we had a few issues that we told the manager about at the end of our stay in the hope that they will be sorted for future visitors. We couldn’t get the tv to work (only wanted to watch Euro football finals!), dishwasher wouldn’t work and the plug sockets were a nightmare with a need for a lot more adapters or extension leads that would fit the plug sockets (there seems to be various types of plugs and sockets in the property). Also there is only one socket in the kitchen area and is directly over the sink which is dangerous (also cannot have microwave and dishwasher on at the same time as it will blow a fuse. There were a few other minor issues that have also been reported. This could be a lovely little property if it was freshened up and the issues all rectified."
