The upstairs 360-degree view will take your breath away featuring panoramas of the Gulf from Carrickalinga to Rapid Bay. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings with the distant sound of crashing waves and animals wandering the rolling hills. Tastefully decorated with quality finishing touches, this spacious two-story residence provides for large families who love their private spaces but also enjoy togetherness under the same roof, or smaller groups who prefer plenty of room and it has a swimming pool. The house comprises 5 bedrooms (sleeping up to 10 people), 3 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen/dining/living area upstairs, plus a second living area downstairs both to include smart tvs. The master bedroom, with a large ensuite, is upstairs and has a queen-size bed, TV, and ocean views, with its own entrance to the front balcony. The large front and side balconies (both with outdoor table/chairs) provide plenty of opportunities to relax outdoor, whether it be enjoying a drink/meal, admiring the view, or watching the sunset over the ocean, all whilst still being able to keep an eye on children in the pool. The striking stretch of coastline features rounded hills of the Fleurieu Peninsula plunging down to the sea, ever-changing surf and a township squeezed between the hillside and the pristine dunes. The beach is strikingly clean with clear water and fine white sand. It is a very popular beach for families, especially loved by children who explore the ever-changing rock pool formations and watch keenly for a passing pod of dolphins. There is no shortage of local activities. It is only a 5-minute drive to Normanville and to the Links Lady Bay Golf Course featuring fine dining for lunch or dinner. Another 10 minutes further south you will reach Wirrina Hotel and Golf Course, where you will likely share the course with kangaroos. There are also several local wineries boasting a broad selection of wines to taste, plus the popular Smiling Samoyed boutique brewery at nearby Myponga. Fishing and diving are also very popular in this area or you can enjoy horse riding along the beautiful Normanville Beach. The pool was great the kids loved it and we could watch them from the deck also. The house itself could use a little tlc, beds weren’t overly comfortable and there was a problem with ants inside during our stay which was a shame so the owners may need some pest control. Wow what a home and what awesome views towards the ocean, beautiful sunsets, abundant wildlife and yes plenty of kangaroos. A bbq on the deck and a pool out the back. Plenty of space for a large family and two families would fit easily. Well appointed and thought out a credit to the owners. Excellent 5 stars give yourselves a treat. Beaches are close by and good eating and coffee in Carricklinga and the local Foodland has all you need, only a 5 min drive or a 15 min bike ride.
