Nowhere Else Cottage is a characterful well established, self-contained converted dairy on the Fleurieu Peninsula which started life, milking cows in the early 1900s until the early 80s. With one queen bedroom and heritage style bathroom with a claw-foot bath. You can relax and unwind in our cosy romantic cottage and indulge yourself in your own private indoor spa, overlooking the hill sides and perhaps getting a friendly visit from our cows and calves, almost at your doorstep. Or just take in the countryside from the cottage verandah with a glass of wine. A haven of peace, comfort and privacy. There is no wi-fi but good mobile coverage.We didn’t use the spa. But didn’t particularly like that the host needed regular access to the spa to test the water and we only found this out a week before our stay. We really wanted a completely private experience, so just bear this in mind. The host was very respectful in asking for access to the property for this. But we enjoyed our stay none the less. We did need to leave a night early due to a family emergency and the host was really empathetic and understanding, offering a free night in future. About a week before the booking I received a message "Please contact me about your booking". This alarmist message was just to confirm that my booking was accurate, and to ask for a check-in time. So I confirmed, and informed of a 2pm check-in. The reply was that the key may...or may not be in the door. So upon arrival the key was not in the door. Old mate just appeared from the driveway and gave me a key. I was then sternly told that daily spa water tests are required. To which I responded that I didn't intend to use the spa. "It's a council requirement mate". I left after the first night, as I just didn't feel at all welcome here. If you want to get away from people, and have an interaction free experience.
