Days at the beach are long and lazy, and balmy nights are livened up by walks up and down the main drag, stopping for ice cream, to window shop, or to just watch others stroll by. There's a wide variety of local restaurants, but not a major chain in sight (other than fast food, of course), and if you feel like staying out late, there's usually live music playing nearby somewhere. We have a comfortable, well stocked townhouse with cute beachy decor. It is the perfect place for a great relaxing vacation. Dorrance Depot R&R has the flavor of the past with the accommodations that you want for your family today. Located within two blocks of just about everything, it's a short walk to the beach and wildlife sanctuary in one direction, and Linden Avenue's shops and restaurants in the other. Although it's rumored to have been the old railroad station, today's Dorrance Depot R&R is all about Rest and Relaxation. Unit b, a spacious2 story beach townhouse, has three bedrooms and 1.5 baths, with a large and open living, dining area. The large private patio, connects the inside to the outside, and add to the entertainment possibilities. The house is fully equipped with kitchen, bath, and linen supplies and has a 2 car garage. Der CheckIn war unkompliziert - alles gut. Besonders gut hat mir die Nähe zum Strand und dem Ort gefallen, denn man konnte Restaurants, Läden und Strand leicht zu Fuß erreichen. Das Sofa im Wohnzimmer war sehr gemütlich auch das war sehr angenehm. Küche und Bad waren gut. Einiges hat mir leider nicht so gut gefallen. 1\. Mir war nicht bewusst, dass das Haus direkt an der Bahn und dem Bahnhof liegen würde. Das war teilweise sehr laut und nachts hat das laute Tuten echt gestört, da man das Fenster offen hatte, um kühle Luft ins Haus zu bekommen. 2\. Das Untergeschoss hatte einen Geruch, den ich nicht zuordnen konnte, er verschwand nach Lüften kam aber immer wieder wenn ich die Tür aufschloss. 3\. Die Küche war gut, aber der Inhalt der Schränke nicht so aufgeräumt und sauber. Ich hab alles gereinigt, was ich benutzt habe, aber ich hätte mich wohler gefühlt, wäre das ordentlicher gewesen. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett, wir hatten nur einmal kurz Kontakt, weil noch was im Trockner war, alles sehr unkompliziert und nett. ##### Manuela K. The location was perfect- just a few blocks from the beach and the cute shopping area. We didn’t use our cars all week because we could walk or bike everywhere. The home was clean and comfortable, had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. It is definitely larger than it looks in the pictures with a big, open downstairs and 3 bright, comfortable rooms upstairs. The back patio is also large and a great place to hang out, with a charcoal grill and fire pit. We could store all of our bikes and beach things in the garage which was great! Any questions that I had were immediately answered by Kathy- she was always available and so easy to deal with. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be back! ##### Kiki F. This is a great location in a sleepy coastal town that requires no vehicle to get around to the beach, stores and entertainment, including local breweries. We use it whenever we can and the size is perfect for those visiting family members and friends. We have been vacationing her enough that we feel like locals for our couple of weeks of decompression. It was much larger than we expected. 2 big rooms up stairs and another that sleeps 2\. Downstairs is huge and comfortable too. The patio is great and furnished with a table and chairs, 2 umbrellas and recliners. There's a fire pit out there and a grill. There were beach chairs and 2 boogie boards in the garage. All you need to bring are beach towels and sunscreen. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Cozy little back yard/patio area. Easy access to the beach and town – and Thursday’s Farmer’s Market. Convenient location - lots of nature in the area even shopping if that's on your to-do-list The not so positive: - the kitchen equipment was a bit lacking, there are plates, glasses and mugs for one meal - for dinner there is ONE big pot (- for pasta sauce, but we'd have to cook pasta for 2 and 2 and 2 - in a very small pot) - the trundle bed, if you can call that a bed, was horrible. It was more like sleeping on a board, I like a firm mattress but after a week on this one you’ll need a very good chiropractor. I really don’t like to be a “Negative Nancy” – but I feel that these issues are easy fixes – a little trip to Ikea could fix it all!
