"I completed the full online check-in ahead of arrival, and the app indicated that I could simply pick up the keys. However, when I arrived, I was required to go through the entire check-in process again at the front desk, which made the online process feel pointless. There was also confusion regarding the reservation details. Hotels.com only asks for the number of adults and children separately, but the front desk staff said they could not see that information and asked me to search for the booking under “3 adults” instead. Unfortunately, the interaction did not come across in a welcoming or helpful tone. The bigger issue was the room itself. On the first night, the AC unit made a constant water-dropping noise throughout the night, making it very difficult to sleep. When I requested a room change the next morning, the initial proposal was for us to check out at 11 AM and remain out of a room until 4 PM while they prepared another one. Thankfully, they were eventually able to provide the replacement room earlier than expected. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially given the lack of smooth handling around both check-in and the room issue. I would not return."

"Nice hotel close to shops and beach. They have their own parking lot which is a plus. Staff were fabulous. Rooms are nice, clean. Connected to Il Fornaio restaurant which is convenient. Food was good, restaurant staff also great. Advertised breakfast starts at 730 but didn’t open until almost 8. Wish the property offered complimentary coffee in lobby available before 730a. No fridge in room, no coffee machine in room, really no amenities. Heat in room is via radiator, loud at times if turned up. Would stay again."

"I think we've stayed here 6 or 7 times now. For us, the best value in Carmel. The place is clean, comfortable rooms with gas fireplaces, really clean, has pool, nice landscaping, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Located right next to a market, where you can pick up supplies, plus local wine and beer, and a sandwich to take to the beach. Steps away from great bars, restaurants, and shops. We usually walk everywhere. Will be back in a few months."

"Look no further if you want a reasonable price, fantastic location and very accommodating rooms this is a great place. Easily walkable to any area of Carmel by the sea. Close to restaurants, shopping, and only a couple blocks down to the most beautiful beach. Many of our friends also talk about what a great place this is. We do like the room with the fireplace. Plenty of Closet and dresser space,. The pool is very good for the late afternoon sun after all the activities. Breakfast is efficient to get you going. Parking can be a little bit iffy. Be patient there are quite a few around. There is a loading zone directly in front of the property, which is helpful."
