This home sleeps up to 6 guests. If you want to vacation in a home that features full ocean views, do not hesitate for a moment to book your stay at Point Lobos View. The stunning location in this oceanfront neighborhood affords the home a front row view of Point Lobos and some of the most breathtaking sunset views of your life. Completely updated throughout and appointed so many thoughtful touches, this 2,335 sf home is a treat. We just know you'll want to return again and again. Living Spaces Lofty ceilings are uplifting and floor-to-ceiling windows take full advantage of sweeping ocean views. An intimate seating area surrounds the fireplace with gas insert, and a Smart TV, but the great-room feeling lives large. Kitchen and Dining The immaculate kitchen is fully-equipped for the chef in your party. An attractive tiled backsplash, custom cabinetry, solid countertops and stainless steel appliances are just the start. A large dining table seats 6+ with additional built-in bench seating and four upholstered chairs. Outside, the private ocean-facing patio is equipped with two lounge chairs, a bistro table with chairs for two and a hot tub. Bedrooms and Bathrooms Quality bed and bath linens are provided. Upstairs, Bedroom #1 has a king bed and an en suite bathroom with a large, tiled shower with dual shower heads. This is a loft-style room that is open to the lower level living areas, taking full advantage of the floor to ceiling windows and ocean views. Two guest bedrooms are located on the lower level: Bedroom #2 has a king bed, TV and ocean view. Bedroom #3 has a queen bed and its own sink/vanity area. Bedrooms #2 and #3 share a Jack and Jill style bathroom with an innovative shower room and small separate soaking tub. A two-car garage is available for parking and 2-4 cars can fit in the driveway. The washer and dryer are located inside the garage. Sorry, Point Lobos View is not a pet friendly home. This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. We wanted this house for the convenience to downtown Carmel and Big Sur, but really didn't know just how stunning the views are from any room and the patio. We could not have asked for a more incredible vacation. The ocean and hillside views from inside and outside the home were amazing. It was a short drive to downtown Carmel for shopping and restaurants and Carmel Valley for wine tasting. However, we mostly stayed on the property, taking long walks along the trails and beach to watch the birds and otters during the day and enjoying the hot tub in the cooler evenings. The house was beautiful and outfitted with everything we needed. The living spaces were comfortable, and we enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen and the barbecue grill. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at 3911 Pt Lobos View (August 19 - 25, 2024), here are a few comments:The Pt Lobos View house is modern and very clean, and the view is amazing. We appreciated the updated appliances in the kitchen and the large windows with the motorized shades. The layout was good for a small group, but the "loft style" upstairs bedroom lacked privacy and the king bed mattress was very hard. The second bedroom (large windows on the first floor) was very comfortable, but the shared bathroom was an issue and the closet was pretty small. The E-safe was locked, couldn't use it.Here are some other comments:The arrival instructions need to be updated. There is no visible address number on the house, we weren't sure if we had arrived at the correct house. The keyless entry was tricky, you must press the "Schlage" button before entering the code numbers, and the numbers must be entered slowly in order for the lock to open. Same thing when you're locking the front door upon departure.The house could use a coat rack or hanging hooks near the front door. Upon entry, there is no place to drop a jacket or purse if you're carrying other items (such as groceries).The shower in the downstairs bathroom is a joke. It's a challenge to close the glass doors if you're using the shower, and the large rain shower head is poorly located, water goes all over the bathroom floor. The top faucet needs to be fixed, the turning mechanism comes right off. There's no place to put a bar of soap, except on the floor. This could be easily fixed with a small shelf..The kitchen has lots of gadgets, but it could use some salad plates and additional dinner plates. Glad we brought paper napkins, there were none in the house.Outside landscape lights stayed on all night, we had the maintenance person turn them off as they lit up the bedrooms.The smoke alarm in the entry hall area needed batteries.
