From entering up the steps to the front door, you walk down a passage, down some steps to a lift which takes you to the second floor reception.
I arrived at 11 pm and encountered 3 charming ladies on the reception desk - greetings and smiles all round.
I was given an extremely large triple room with red and black furniture. a trendy wallpapered feature wall and spotlights....sort of tired boutique....but clean and comfortable......shower over the bath, but a powerful shower and lovely clean large bathtowels.
Breakfast is overpriced .....bacon and sausage appeared to have been precooked and kept in a warming pan however the poached eggs were wonderful.
At the price I paid, this was very good value and at a similar price I would stay here again without any hesitation.
