Pity about parking

Posted 26-Jan-2016
Good food, and service with comfort however booking said contact hotel to reserve parking which is limited. Put message when booking regarding parking. Did not hear from hotel so had to call them on the day for them to say you can not reserve and it is done on a first come basis

Good central Hotel

Posted 25-Jan-2016
It is located in the city centre which is a positive. Apart from this - there isn't much that sets it apart from other well known lifts. Terrible lifts ! We had to wait 10 minutes for the lift to reception from floor 14.

Comfortable hotel, very centrally located!

Posted 22-Jan-2016
We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist who was attentive and efficient. The room was very clean and comfortable. Good heating/air con unit. The breakfast team were equally friendly and there was a great selection of food and drink - hot foods as well as pastries, fruit salad, cold meats etc., and a good variety of drinks including orange juice which you could squeeze yourself! The hotel was very conveniently located. It is a couple of minutes away from the St Davids 2 shopping complex, Motorpoint Arena and Cardiff Central train station. I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to friends and family also visiting the Welsh capital.

A most pedestrian experience

Posted 13-Jan-2016
Apart from the wonderful Polish waitress and the accommodating chef, staff were far from welcoming. Shower was pathetic and had to request a bath plug. Hmmm... Expected more from Radisson.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are glad you liked the waitress and chef in the restaurant, but apologize you were disappointed with the service you received from the rest of the staff. We value your feedback and have shared your comments with hotel management to continually improve the service at the hotel.

Comfortable stay. Good location.

Posted 06-Jan-2016
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic. Pleasant and helpful staff at reception and in the dining area.
Cons: The shower and sink make a terrible whistling noise when in use. The fire alarm going off at 5 am wasn't pleasant.
Location: Very close to to Cardiff Central Rail Station. Excellent proximity to shopping and nightlife areas.
Nice hotel. The carpet could use some cleaning. On one day I had a problem getting my room cleaned timely but the staff at the front desk solved the problem promptly upon request.

Good position, close to town.

Posted 02-Jan-2016
Pros: Good central hotel
Cons: As mentioned in last paragraph above!
Location: Really close to town, for pubs, restaurants and shops.
Checking in and handed my visa debit card to receptionist, who asked if I had a credit card I could use instead, because they get their money quicker that way, never had a problem all the years I have used my visa debit card, what a load of nonsense! Paid for a business class room which was nice but one of the advantages was breakfast in the business class area, which offered a wider selection of food. At breakfast I was ushered into the wrong dining area and only realised when I came out so complained to the person who had taken us to the wrong area and explained that I told her we was business class so why did she make that mistake, her answer was "everyone say's they are business class". To be fair on checkout the duty manager said they would deduct the breakfast charge from my bill, I will have to check that they have. The hotel is quite nice but they need to alter the nonsense of the visa debit card/ credit card usage as well as staff listening to what the guests are telling them.

Great location, lovely hotel

Posted 09-Dec-2015
Although you may need to re-mortgage your home to drink / eat in the bar or restaurant, the location of this hotel is perfect for access into the City centre. Additionally, the rooms were just fine for an over night stay
